In 2012 Debbie was at the peak of her triathlon racing schedule, and by 2013 she had hit a wall, had no energy, and experienced issues since then from what is known as adrenal fatigue.
On today's episode, Debbie is joined by Courtney - who has had many of the same issues. Courtney shares her story; going from competing in triathlons and IRONMANs to multiple mini-traumas and ending up totally exhausted.
It was difficult to face, but Courtney had to accept that she was deeply fatigued and had pushed herself too far. Test results showed that Courtney was experiencing adrenal fatigue, and she's still working to get her activity levels back to where she feels they should be, without going too far again.
We'll learn answers to the questions of when to race, when not to race, when to slow down and reset.
