Hallie welcomes Dr. Felix Liao back to the podcast to discuss his most recent publication; Your Child's Best Face. Dr. Felix coined the term “Impaired Mouth Syndrome” in 2017 to highlight the mouth structure’s pivotal role in many medical, dental, and mood symptoms. In this episode, Dr. Felix describes an oral cavity that presents with Impaired Mouth Syndrome that is unable to support overall whole body health. He also provides the roadmap to follow in treating both ourselves (adults) and our children. Through shared patient cases we are shown how correcting an impaired mouth can break through many health problems resistant to standard medical treatment(s). Championing cross-training for healthcare professionals to integrate mind, body, and mouth and including the parent in the process, Dr. Felix paints an easy to understand picture of the best way to approach helping our children get their health back on track.
