Episode 438: Metabolic Health with Anttoni Aniebonam

Metabolic health is the overall state of your metabolic processes. It encompasses the full range of biochemical and physiological functions, including energy metabolism, appetite, digestion, and body composition. Sometimes the complexity of metabolic health makes it hard for most low carb athletes to understand and predict how they react to certain changes in their diet. However, you can assess it through different metrics that can help you optimize your performance and avoid health risks. Learn how to score and optimize your metabolic health.

Today my guest is Anttoni Aniebonam, the cofounder of a CGM company called VERI that helps people improve their metabolic health for performance gains and longevity. Growing up, Anttoni and his co-founder struggled with metabolic health-related issues like weight management and autoimmune disease. They started exploring ways to solve these issues at scale in 2018 when they realized that there was a missing piece in the wellness space: tracking nutrition in a meaningful way. Eventually, after studying the space for months and testing out most of the gadgets and “biohacks,” they learned about CGMs and managed to get their hands on one.
