Today, I reflect on how my priorities have shifted throughout life. When I was younger, it was all about planning the next party and making sure I had enough wine. Then, when I got sober, my focus turned to finding meetings, raising my children, and figuring out how to get them to three different places at once. Life has changed again, and today, my priorities are my husband and helping others. I’ve learned that true happiness isn’t found in money or material things but in our relationships with ourselves, our families, and our communities.
Life is always changing, and so are our priorities—but you are never alone.
Remember to reach out to your doctor prior to getting sober.
