In Episode 655 of It's Bizzy, I'm sharing one of the most honest and vulnerable conversations I've had with myself in a long time.
After spending the Fourth of July reflecting on where I've been and where I want to go, I realized something powerful: I've spent much of my life running—not physically, but emotionally. Running from discomfort, pain, uncertainty, and even myself. What if this season of my life isn't about changing other people or fixing the past? What if it's actually about changing me?
In this episode, I open up about:
• Why I'm taking the month of August off from podcasting
• Spending the Fourth of July alone and what I learned from the experience
• The life-changing lessons I took from reading God on a Harley
• How ego and judgment continue to show up in my everyday life (including a humbling encounter on the beach)
• Why I'm deleting social media from my phone and stepping away from the constant noise
• Learning to stop running away from uncomfortable emotions
• Trusting God instead of trying to control every outcome
• The power of beliefs and how fear can keep us from becoming who we're meant to be
• Reflecting on nearly 20 years of sobriety and believing that change is still possible
I'm sharing this episode because I know I'm not the only one who feels lost, stuck, fearful, or uncertain about what's next. Maybe the answer isn't running faster. Maybe the answer is finally sitting still long enough to hear what God has been trying to tell us all along.
If you've ever struggled with change, faith, judgment, anxiety, reinvention, sobriety, or learning to trust God's timing, this episode is for you.
Thank you for walking this journey with me. As always, let's continue to live loud and love big.
