There is never just one side to a story. Every situation has layers and emotions behind it. I often say there are three stories — one person’s side, the other person’s side, and the truth somewhere in between. Yet even then, there is still another layer, another story waiting to be told. The more we listen and try to understand, the more we see that stories are complicated, and the truth isn’t always just one thing.
