The fight for voting rights remains a critical issue and voter suppression laws have deflected individuals from casting a ballot in a targeted and discriminatory way. Recently, Democrats failed to change Senate rules in order to pass voting rights legislation ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
On this week’s episode, Tamika and Mysonne sit down with Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee as well as author & co-chairman of Our Black Party, Dr. Wes Bellamy. The guests discuss the fight to end voting oppression in the U.S. and how African Americans can control their own political apparatus.
