This is it. I figured it out. I'm kinda serious.
It recently dawned on me (like yesterday, so this is very new) that when you're all charged up to knock out a low day with your diet, but you blunder your way through and make some mistakes, it hurts you in multiple ways.
Not only do you not realize the physical progress you wanted to from the low day, but you still feel mentally fatigued from having been "ready" for the low day.
And interestingly enough, this happens with high days, too...except it involves guilt and dissatisfaction.
Seriously, I think this interplay between the mental and physical might help explain why it's just so difficult to make lasting change, and why you really need to execute your plan, above all else.
