According to a new study Consumer Reports study, many of the chocolate brands that Americans buy from the supermarket contain high levels of toxic metals—including things like cadmium and lead.
These researchers were looking into some of the most popular brands, the ones that are very likely in your cupboard right now: things like Hershey’s, Dove Chocolate, Trader Joe’s, and so on.
The researchers here were looking specifically at dark chocolate, which is a little bit ironic considering many people choose dark chocolate over alternatives like milk chocolate because of the supposed health benefits: including anti-oxidants and the fact that dark chocolate has less sugar.
However, for many years now, the chocolate industry has been grappling with a certain problem—that heavy metals are difficult to remove during the production process, and secondly, metals like lead are introduced into the food during manufacturing.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis just signed a new bill into law that will authorize the death penalty for child rapists within his state.
The new bill is called HB 1297, and it overwhelmingly passed the Florida legislature last month. In the Florida House, it passed 95–14, and in the Florida Senate, it passed 34–5.
And now that it’s officially on the books, this new law will allow those individuals who have been found guilty of raping children under the age of 12 to be sentenced to execution.
This death sentence does not require a unanimous jury decision. What this will mean in practice is that in the state of Florida, a prosecutor will only need the approval of 8 out of 12 jurors to be able to go ahead with a sentence of capital punishment.

The sudden departure of Tucker Carlson created more of a problem for Fox News than for Carlson. On the one hand, Fox’s ratings for their 8 p.m. time slot are down a cool 50 percent, meaning that Fox lost about 1.6 million viewers after forcing Carlson out of the company.
On the other hand, Carlson himself has been getting offers left and right. However, that aside, the biggest (and perhaps most serious) offer for Carlson came from Patrick Bet-David, the founder of Valuetainment. In a letter of intent that was posted online to their website this past Tuesday, Carlson was given the offer of $100 million over five years, an equity stake in Valuetainment, a position to become the president of the company, a seat on the board of directors, as well as leaving open other possible terms that Carlson might be interested in negotiating.
This is the first completely public job offer that’s been made thus far—and it so happens to also be the biggest.

In a shocking development, the European Union just released a new policy document which officially earmarked $1.5 billion euros, in order to start the process of buying out the land from Dutch farmers.
But it gets even stranger, because within the policy document, it states that any farmer who sells their farm to the government in the Netherlands is no longer allowed to farm anywhere within the European Union.

Last week, after we published an episode going through how Fox News lost money, lost ratings, and lost paying subscribers (all because they fired Tucker Carlson), a lot of people left comments below that video, urging us to look into the role that BlackRock played in the whole affair.
An article from Forbes magazine suggested that the reason Tucker was let go was because of his constant battling against the rise of the environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) agenda—one that’s being pushed by the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and by giant institutional investors like Blackrock, which just so happens to own a large stake in Fox Corporation.
Therein lies the problem: Tucker Carlson’s program would, night after night, rail against the very concept of ESG, and he oftentimes attributed many of the problems that we’re seeing around the world to exactly this type of global agenda.

Unbeknownst to most people, there’s a push to scale up the use of both mRNA technology and gene therapy on the livestock that winds up on our supermarket store shelves. Meaning, that whether it’s beef, pork, lamb, chicken, or turkey — the meat that you’re purchasing from the store could very soon contain the remnants of mRNA based vaccines that the animals were treated with. And right now, only 5 states are pushing transparency bills.

The House Judiciary Committee just released a bombshell—it turns out that the man who orchestrated the U.S. intelligence letter that brushed off the Hunter Biden scandal as “Russian disinformation” was none other than our very own Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
This information came from the very top—the former deputy director of the CIA, Michael Morell. In his interview with the House Judiciary Committee, he revealed to them how the letter came to be—as well as the true reason it was written at all.

Tucker Carlson released a short video statement on Twitter. At 8 p.m. on the dot, when 1.5 million people were tuning into Fox News, Tucker Carlson released a video that, almost immediately, 40 million people watched.
However, even in that video, Carlson didn’t address the multi-million dollar question—which is why he and Fox News suddenly parted ways, whether or not he was fired, or any of the reasons for his departure. However, having said that, there is a source that we can turn to for some inside knowledge about really happened.
The Wall Street Journal recently published an article that gave a detailed accounting of what took place behind the scenes. And the reason that we can give more trust and credence to this particular story is because the Wall Street Journal is also owned by the same company as Fox News—meaning, they are both properties of Rupert Murdoch.
According to this article, one of the factors that led to Carlson being fired was allegedly offensive language that he made toward women.
Specifically, this had to do with what came to light when he was forced to turn over his text messages as part of the Dominion lawsuit. And while the specific words that he used were redacted by the time the text messages became public, apparently (at least according to the article) Carlson was keen on having the messages be made public in their entirety.

On Monday, in a truly shocking move, Tucker Carlson was fired from Fox News—or as the official statement claims: Tucker Carlson and Fox News have “agreed to part ways.”
This is indeed a shocking development because Tucker’s show was far and above the most popular program on Fox.
And actually, it was one of the most popular news programs on cable TV.
Furthermore, financially this is going to hurt Fox News quite a bit. Not only did Tucker’s show bring in $77 million in advertising per year, but also, right after his departure was announced, Fox’s share price tanked. Within a matter of hours, they lost close to a billion dollars worth of market cap. Eventually, it bounced back a little bit, but as of this episode, it’s still down by about half a billion dollars.
Regardless, the big $900 million question that’s still hanging in the air is: why? Why exactly did Tucker Carlson get fired? And why was it done so abruptly?

The legal battle between Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and the Manhattan District Attorney has just officially ended: the judge in the case has ruled in favor of Jordan, and the Manhattan DA’s appeal to that ruling was just withdrawn.
This comes shortly after former President Donald Trump was charged by the Manhattan DA with 34 felony counts of book-keeping fraud, and House Republicans began their own investigations. Chief among the lawmakers was Jordan—who, in his capacity as the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, launched an official probe of the Manhattan DA’s office. And as a part of his investigation, Jordan wanted to question under oath a former Manhattan prosecutor named Mark Pomerantz, as he had deep inside knowledge of the inner workings of the Manhattan DA’s office, as that work specifically related to the Trump case.
Jordan sent an official subpoena to Pomerantz, compelling him to appear before a congressional committee and answer questions regarding both the Manhattan DA’s investigation into Trump and the debates inside of the Manhattan DA’s office that were taking place behind closed doors. Essentially, Jordan is working to investigate whether or not the indictment against Trump was truly “politically motivated.”
