The second I opened an email from Candice’s publicist asking if she could jump on the pod to promote her new book “The Chase” I knew I had to talk to this human. Not only is Candice a best selling crime fiction author (who’s currently working on her 16th book mind you) but she’s sat in a bulletproof shark tank cell with one of the most notorious serial killers in the world. As she sat opposite this killer for 5 hours the whole time they had a sniper on him incase he lunged at her. Candice has put herself in some really fascinating but also scary scenarios, in her research for this book The Chase (which I binge read in 3 days) she visited Lithgow maximum security prison just out of Sydney and talks about seeing inmates pacing and they’d punched the governor in the face just the day before Candice’s visit. If you’re even a tiny bit intrigued true crime,Ted Bundy, the Co-Ed killer, we deep dive some of these guys. And can I just say The Chase, Candice’s new book is unreal, I’ve never read crime fiction until this book and I’m absolutely hooked, thank you Candice, you’re a wonderful human!

Buckle in for a hit of inspiration and wisdom from this human! Kim is the artistic director of @16thstreetactorsstudio in Melbourne and it’s where I did my acting training. In this episode you’ll hear Kim’s passion for human connection and helping an actor reach their full potential, not only as an artist but as a human being as well. Kim rubs shoulders with some of greats in the acting world, during lockdown she organised classes with her good friend Deborra-Lee Furness (which Hugh Jackman gate crashed), we were trained but one of my fave Australian actors Cody Fern and she’s even bought Russle Brand to the school to teach. Kim is an unstoppable force; she’s tenacious, passionate and fiercely dedicated to creating a space for artists to grow, explore and ultimately discover themselves through art. Far out, Zoe absolutely knocked me of my chair. it's rare you meet someone this open, honest and unapologetically themselves. Zoe is an actor and activist; they've been in Authur Miller's A View from the Bridge, Dolls House Part 2 and more on the stage. They played Pearl in Australian drama Janet King the iconic Reb Keane on Wentworth and is on Nicole Kidman's upcoming series Nine Perfect Strangers. On top of all this Zoe is only 21 years old and an activist; Zoe is a queer, non-binary, trans actor. Zoe is hands down one of the realest humans i've ever met, they are and will most certainly make a dent on this world. This week the boss and I were lucky enough to stay at Gaia Retreat and Spa. We were absolutely treated like royalty. This place is so special. from the spa treatments to the yoges and of course the delicious food.
