Today we're speaking with Colin Stuckert, CEO and founder of Wild Foods Co and Ancestral Mind Podcast. I was a guest on Colin's podcast talking about the mindset of diets, and we continued the conversation in today's episode. Colin shares his unique perspective as an entrepreneur and the origin story of his company Wild Foods Co, what led him to starting a health food company based on ancestral wellness. Colin's mission is to help 50 million people build the Ancestral Mind and say NO to Big Food, Big Pharma and a devolved life of chronic pain and disease.
You'll get an inside look into a health food company, and how they stay in integrity with principles and quality to stay true to their mission. Colin talks about sourcing products sustainably and ethically, which foods to focus on, insidious food industry practices that undermine the consumer, and Colin's perspective on the "ancestral mindset."

Today I'm sitting with Liz Mullinar, a survivor of childhood trauma, trauma counsellor, and the founder of Heal For Life Foundation which has provided trauma recovery programs for over 20 years. She developed the Heal For Life Model in the early nineties when she felt along with other survivors of trauma that there had to be a permanent way of healing from the impact of childhood memories.
Liz latest book is a step-by-step guide called HEAL FOR LIFE: How to Heal Yourself from the Pain of Childhood Trauma based on the Heal For Life model that has helped over 8,500 people self-heal from trauma. It demonstrates how to transform painful trauma memories and emotional triggers into permanent healing. 100% of the book's proceeds go back to Heal for Life to pay for survivors to attend programs!

In this Akashic reading for March, Venessa shares the message from our guides: To Wake UP.
We receive the call to enter the deepest parts of our Self, to wake up from the dream. And to open our inner eyes to see that the very thing we seek is beckoning us from within. The cosmic door lies inside our cells. It's a journey back home, and along the hero's journey we're faced with danger, fear, death, and the chance to be reborn. This message is urgent in its feel yet reassuring in its directness. We're given a few tips to help us along, including a reminder that the trees hold the medicine.
From Wolf stars to black holes and supernovas, this cosmic reading brings us back to Mama Earth and the power of connecting with Trees, especially upon the portal of the equinox on March 19.

Today we are speaking with Anja Robinson, Clinical Herbalist, Functional Nutritionist, Women's Integrative Health Educator and founder of Poppy Herbals—an Herbal Elixir Bar and Apothecary in Ashland, OR. She's also my co-facilitator for our upcoming Herbal Anatomy Series at Hawthorn Institute! In this episode, we're talking about functional somatic syndrome (FSS) and the power of community health & herbalism in addressing complex health issues.
FSS has been around for thousands of years and various terminology has been used to describe it, including hysteria, somatoform disorders, and medically unexplained symptoms. FSS highlights the inefficacy of the conventional medical system in addressing root causes, the undeniable mind-body connection, the startling rates of trauma (esp in women) impacting health, and the lack of community wellness and support.
Together, Anja and I explore top ways to support those who have experienced FSS (many of us) and how to begin addressing the underlying issues related to so many unexplained or complex symptoms and health challenges.

In this Akashic reading for February, Venessa shares a potent message about SAFETY & shame.
Safety. It is this that we all seek. Our guides invite us to look at the ways we are hindered by a perceived lack of safety, within. We are shown the ways our cultural conditioning, shame programming, and fear prevent us from expressing our true Self and Soul. We are guided to look at the ways we hold ourselves captive to erroneous beliefs. We are asked to cultivate safety within and a sense of Home in our own bodies.
"There is a dance that we must all learn, & the music only plays when you move your feet."
What holds you back from dancing the life you are meant to live, my love?
Set yourself free. Co-create the safety net, starting by taking a small step. Our guides offer suggestions for doing so, and speak into the larger collective feelings of fear, lack of safety + control, and shame.
Venessa offers some cultural context in the prologue, and insights including Imbolc blessings that tie in with the reading.

In the intro, I share a personal check-in and insights, astral influences this month so far, and how to support ourselves by tending to our energetic ecologies and bodies.
So much that manifests as physical symptoms or ailments have their origins in the energy body. All ancient healing traditions include energy medicine in one form or another, in my experience, when there is chronic illness present - we MUST look to its energetic influences.
In this episode, we're speaking with Cari Nadeau, a Certified EFT Practitioner and a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner. Cari shares how she went from bedridden from Lyme disease to thriving energy medicine practitioner. We talk about Cari's journey with psychiatric medication, withdrawal from psychiatric medication, major depression and top resources Cari found for mental health support. We discuss how to remove trapped emotions, and the "masterpiece combo" that Cari uses to move through big negative patterns or stuck energies.
Cari also shares the top beliefs that Cari identified were holding her back and keeping her sick, her spiralic healing journey, how it was "ugly," what her "relapses" looked like, and what she did to move thru them. In the end, we share Cari's favorite resources and books to get people started with energy healing, including a free gift - link is in the shownotes!
