This week on The Fighter vs. The Writer, UFC legend Matt Brown and MMA Fighting senior reporter Damon Martin discuss the latest hot topics in combat sports including the Misfits Boxing card on Saturday as well as UFC Vegas 81.
While Edson Barboza prepares to battle Sodiq Yusuff in the UFC, a lot of eyes will turn towards the influencer boxing world as KSI clashes with Tommy Fury and Logan Paul battles Dillon Danis.
Brown discusses his lack of interest in the actual fights but admits that Danis’ trolling at least has him ready to watch the entire “s*** show” unfold on Saturday. In fact, Brown questions if Danis really cares much about winning or losing as much as he wants to continue gaining followers and attention.
Brown also takes time to respond to Colby Covington, who took aim at him after suggesting that the two-time UFC welterweight title challenger might retire if he suffers a loss to Leon Edwards at UFC 296.
Plus Brown discusses his views on his children eventually following in his footsteps to become fighters after learning that Matt Hughes’ son is about to make his professional debut this weekend.
