Following a stunning first-round knockout over Court McGee at UFC Charlotte, Matt Brown returns to The Fighter vs. The Writer to discuss his victory and his record tying achievement.
After more than a year out of action, Brown made a thunderous return to the octagon where he earned his 13th career knockout after putting McGee away with a single punch. The finish tied Brown with Derrick Lewis for the most knockouts in UFC history — a record he would love to break one day in the near future.
Brown also discusses the possibility of fighting Conor McGregor after the Irish superstar talked about his record on Saturday and how he intends to break it before he retires from competition. In response, Brown said he’ll fight McGregor for that record — and it turns out he was serious about pursuing that matchup.
Brown and MMA Fighting senior reporter Damon Martin are joined by longtime friend and morning radio show host Jeremy Loper on the latest episode after previously co-hosting several podcasts together alongside UFC legend Mark “The Hammer” Coleman.
We’ll discuss the rest of UFC Charlotte and what’s next for Brown on the latest episode of The Fighter vs. The Writer.
