William Yeske is a combat veteran, author, and speaker who shares how he found peace, even in the valley. His book is called, Damn The Valley and tells of his experiences in the Arghandab River Valley in Afghanistan. Will served 11 years in the U.S. Army. As a serial entrepreneur, he has significant expertise in marketing, IT, and project management. He currently runs and operates a marketing company, No Limits Marketing Group (NLMG), founded to help small businesses survive the COVID-19 pandemic. It uses a combination of modern marketing techniques coupled with a non-lethal targeting framework learned in the military to provide clients with winning strategies. Will was also a founding board member of a Veteran non-profit, Rally for the Troops (now part of Racing for Heroes). Will is attending Columbia Business School while running current business projects, creating new possibilities for future endeavors. He is also parenting his two children alongside his wife, who is also a US military veteran.

Effect On Emotions

Anger. Yeah, definitely. Those anger spike moments and realizing,  you know, to do that breath work and realizing what's going on; hey, you're losing it, you're losing it.

And you're losing your self-control of the situation.  Take that breath, you know, back up, look at the picture of what's actually going on.

Thoughts On Breathing

Yeah. I mean, man, I have the book Breath by James Nester. I couldn't believe when I was reading through that phenomenal book, with just the different techniques and stuff. There are also so many apps out there these days.

There is also pranayama. Sometimes it's actually just called prana.

Bullying Story

I have talked to my kids about bullying. The nice thing for them anyway, is their mom is also six foot tall.

So both of my kids are head and shoulders taller than everyone else in their class. So I have tried to instill in them that they are probably stronger than most of the kids around them, and it's their duty to be a protector for others. I have tried to instill in them, rather than using their strength for bad, use that strength for good.
