Hello, herbalists. The sun is shining, the air is warming, it’s the time of the season for my favorite thing: GETTING OUTSIDE! WOO HOO! So many adventures await us around every corner. If you’re like me & my family, though, we play hard which can land us in some serious scrapes...and bites and bee stings and all kinds of crazy things! Luckily, nature has given us all these beautiful plants that can help us under those circumstances.
In this episode I tell you all about four absolutely must-know-and-identify, see-and-observe plants to have around when I'm getting outside for summer fun. Today’s featured friends are Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), Plantain (Plantago major) & (Plantago lanceolata), St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum), and Arnica (Arnica montana), but before we get specific we must talk about the importance of proper plant identification and sustainable harvesting first.
So come with me down the Herbalist’s Path to epic and safe outdoor fun.
