Cs: Staré Město v Praze bylo plné jarního života.
En: Staré Město in Praha was full of spring life.
Cs: Stánky s velikonočními ozdobami, košíky a kraslicemi lemovaly dlážděné ulice.
En: Stalls with Easter decorations, baskets, and painted eggs lined the cobbled streets.
Cs: Vzduch voněl po trdlu a pečených jablkách.
En: The air smelled of trdlo and baked apples.
Cs: Jan procházel náměstím, v ruce držel pohár horké medoviny.
En: Jan walked through the square, holding a cup of hot mead.
Cs: Byl Velikonoční pondělí a jeho mysl byla volná.

Cs: Ale pak se stalo něco nečekaného.

En: Jan stood in the middle of the square, feeling the weight of the briefcase in his hand.
Cs: Věděl, že musí informovat Milenu.
En: He knew he had to inform Milena.
Cs: Byla jeho přítelkyní, dobrodružky, která milovala záhady.
