A Prayer in Spring《春天的祈祷》

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;

赐予我们繁花映照心扉的喜悦；

And give us not to think so far away

莫让心神飘向遥远的未来，

As the uncertain harvest; keep us here

如那未可知的收成般虚无；请让我们停留，

All simply in the springing of the year.

在这万物萌发的春天。

Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,

赐予我们徜徉雪白果园的欢愉，

Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;

日光下无可比拟，夜色中恍若幽光；

And make us happy in the happy bees,

让我们在蜜蜂的忙碌中感受欢喜，

The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.

看它们成群飞舞，环绕繁茂的树梢嬉戏。

And make us happy in the darting bird

让那翩然掠过的飞鸟带来喜悦，

That suddenly above the bees is heard,

在蜂鸣之上，忽听燕语莺声，

The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,

似流星疾掠，喙若细针穿行风间，

And off a blossom in mid-air stands still.

在半空中驻足，轻点花蕾，刹那不变。

For this is love and nothing else is love,

这便是爱，除此之外皆非真爱，

To sanctify to what far ends we move,

它让我们奔赴的远方变得神圣，

Let us not hurry to make sure of love,

莫急于探寻爱的真相，

But rather be glad of what we have.

只需欢喜此刻，珍惜所享。
