Do Bonnie and Clyde still haunt this earth? In Ghostly’s thirty-sixth episode, Pat and Rebecca tell the story of Bonnie and Clyde in honor of Valentine’s Day. These partners in crime loved each other fiercely in life…and also in death? In this paranormal podcast, hear the tale of the Barrow gang and decide if these lovers’ spirits linger.
Who was Clyde Barrow? Who was Bonnie Parker? How did they meet? What led them to a life of crime, and how did they become so famous? Who else was in the Barrow Gang? What crimes did they commit? How did they get caught, and how did they die? Where have people seen their ghosts? What is the death car? Do Bonnie and Clyde still haunt this world?
Listener mail from our new Facebook Group, Ghostly Society. Listen to the story of a toy that wouldn’t stop talking…even without batteries. Then join the group to join the discussion.
Have a story or question of your own (or someone you know)? Send your story or question to [email protected] and we might read it on the podcast. You can also email us individually at [email protected] or [email protected]. You could be on a future episode of Ghostly!
Listen to Rebecca tell a story based on the Baker Hotel, one of the places people claim to have seen the ghosts of Bonnie and Clyde.
Listen to Pat give the fascinating history of Bonnie and Clyde. The famous gangsters were bank robbers, murders, and lovers. After growing up in and out of prison, Clyde decided he would never be taken alive and Bonnie wanted to join him in a life of fame and glory. Former Texas Ranger Frank Hamer and his posse granted the duo their wish in May 1934 near Gibsland, Louisiana when they ambushed the couple and shot up their car.
Since Bonnie and Clyde’s gruesome deaths, their ghosts have been sighted where they died, where they are buried, in the car they were shot in, and in some of the places they stayed in the life on the run. Listen to Pat and Rebecca debate these sightings and give their believability ratings.

Is Alcatraz haunted? In Ghostly’s thirty-fifth episode, Pat and Rebecca explore Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. Not only does this former fortress have an interesting history, it also is shrouded in spooky stories. But is it a home for ghosts?
What is the history of Alcatraz Island, and how did it get its name? What role did the prison play in the Civil War? How did it go from military fortress to Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary to tourist destination? Did anyone ever escape from Alcatraz? Which cell blocks are considered the most haunted and why? Who are some of the most famous “residents” of the island? What are the biggest ghost stories? Is Alcatraz haunted?
Special Bonus Reader Request! Eric, son of Mondo, requested we tell a story in honor of Chinese New Year, so listen to how the beginnings of this major holiday actually stem from a supernatural creature.
We also have some great personal stories from listener Elisa involving a personal ghost…or do they? Have a story or question of your own (or someone you know)? Send your story or question to [email protected] and we might read it on the podcast. You can also email us individually at [email protected] or [email protected]. Is Hull House haunted? In Ghostly’s thirty-second episode, Pat and Rebecca and special guest Mondo explore Jane Addam’s Hull House and the Devil Baby in Chicago. Visitors often call Hull House one of the most haunted locations in the city. In its heyday as a settlement house, legends told of a devil baby born and kept at the mansion. Stories of a woman in white and other spirits draw visitors from all over the world. But is it haunted?
What was Hull House? What is it today? Who was Jane Addams and what did she accomplish at Hull House and in her life? Who was Charles Hull, the house’s namesake? What were the stories about the Devil Baby, and were those stories real? Who haunts the second floor? Why did those who lived there keep a pitcher of water by the door to the attic? What man or men haunt the staircase and make the chandelier move? Can you hear little girls playing around the fountain? Is Hull House haunted?
Listener mail about The Clown Motel from someone who works in Tonopah, NV, and this reader has some great insight into the story behind it. Have a story or question of your own (or someone you know)? Is the Clown Motel Haunted? In Ghostly’s thirty-first episode, Pat and Rebecca explore the Clown Motel in Tonopah, NV. This motel is full of clowns in all shapes and sizes, and is also located right next to a cemetery. Many claim they have seen and heard paranormal activity while spending the night. Is it haunted?
Where is the Clown Motel? Who built it and who has owned it since? Why did they give it the theme of clowns, and then fill it with many, many clowns? What is the history of Tonopah, Nevada? How did it become a town? What paranormal sightings have guests and employees had? Is the Clown Motel haunted?
This episode we have some really creepy home stories from listener Adam Gibson. They involve doors, dogs, and shadow figures. Have a story or question of your own (or someone you know)? Send your story or question to [email protected] and we might read it on the podcast. You can also email us individually at [email protected] or [email protected]. You could be on a future episode of Ghostly!
Listen to Rebecca tell a ghost story inspired by the paranormal sightings at the motel over the years, while putting yourself in the position of a guest at this famously haunted motel.
Listen to Pat give the history of Tonopah as a town. The story of how it started is fascinating, as is the story of how the cemetery next to motel started. So many people were buried there in such a short time, it was only open for a few years. The history of the motel itself is also odd and a bit mysterious.
Join Pat and Rebecca for a good old fashioned debate on the paranormal activity reported at the Clown Motel by guests and employees over the years. Both lay out their best case, but who do you believe?

Does John Wayne Gacy still haunt this earth? In Ghostly’s thirtieth episode, Pat and Rebecca explore the life, death, and possible afterlife of serial killer (and clown!) John Wayne Gacy. They were joined in this live episode by Nick Mataragas, the last man to have played Gacy on the TV show Ghost Adventures. Special thanks to Lawlor’s on Archer for hosting Ghostly and The Southside Podfest and thank you to Memoriam Development for organizing such a great festival!
Who was John Wayne Gacy? What were his crimes? What was his childhood like? How did he become a clown? What happened in his personal and professional life, and how did that fit with his criminal life? How did the police catch him? Did he confess? Who were people that talked to him in jail? How did he die? What happened after his death? Where is his brain? Does his spirit still haunt this earth?

Listen to Pat give John Gacy’s history. We learn about his childhood and upbringing as well as some horrific things that happened to Gacy and how he got his start doing horrific things himself. Pat also covers how he stalked and murdered his victims, and then explains how he was finally caught.
Time for the debate! Rebecca tells several stories of researchers who met with Gacy before his execution and who claim to be haunted by him after his death. Nick Mataragas tells us what it was like to dress up as Pogo, one of Gacy’s clown alter-egos, and how it was on the set of Ghost Adventures at Old Joliet Prison. Then Nick joins Pat on #teamskeptic to debate Rebecca and most of the bar on #teambeliever. Who do you believe?
