The mislabeling of products continues. Three more products have been brought to the attention of Gluten Free Advocate Tricia Thompson from Gluten Free Watchdog.

1. Sticky Fingers Bakeries Gluten-Free Scones Mix includes wheat flour in the ingredients list. A voicemail has been left with the manufacturer. Hopefully this is a labeling misprint but if you have this product in your pantry please check the ingredients list. 
2. Sierra Soups Paste e Fagioli. This product includes a gluten-free claim with a "without pasta" parenthetical. The ingredients list includes "pasta shells (enriched with durum semolina flour)". Important: This product is misusing the gluten-free claim. A gluten-free claim is for a product as packaged NOT a product minus an ingredient (e.g., the pasta). Important: This product appears to be misbranded under FALCPA. Durum semolina flour is listed but wheat is not declared in either the ingredients list or a separate Contains statement. A voicemail has been left with the manufacturer. 
3. Restructure Protein Powder labeled gluten-free yet listing "germinated barley seed powder" in the ingredients. Whey protein is also listed but milk is not declared.

Beyond Celiac is holding a casting call for an upcoming Public Service Announcement for Celiac Disease. They're looking to cast a diverse mix of real people with celiac disease to be in a public service announcement that will air on Comcast channels and online!
