Michigan State University will open Thrive, its first allergen-free dining hall, on July 8. None of the food at the location will contain the eight most common allergens: milk, eggs, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish. The facility will also be gluten free.
Michigan State's other dining halls are also certified by AllerTrain. I've had the pleasure of dining in one of them - Brody Hall - and was impressed by their gluten free offerings and cross contact protocol. You can see what we enjoyed, as well as read about the protocol here: https://baltimoreglutenfree.com/gluten-free-dining-at-michigan-state-university/
