Daniel H. Pink’s book The Power of Regret: How Looking Backward Moves Us Forward is the catalyst for the episodes for the rest of the week. After looking into social science for fifty years exploring regret. He found that regrets can be placed into four categories.
The second of the four categories of regret we will discuss is Regrets in Boldness. This is another type of regret of inaction. For example, when you have a chance to do something but don't.
Consider that you simply didn’t do something such as an adventure, or a risky hobby. This is a regret in boldness.
Fear of regret is one of the motivating factors as to why people choose to not act. Being bold and taking a chance is the call to action.
