It will connect you to what is good in your body right now and invite the peace to expand within you. We often resist pain, we don't like to be uncomfortable, and we push it down and mask the pain. This resistance to the sensations in our body can cause additional suffering.
While this meditation practice is not a substitute for medical treatment if needed, it can help to ease the suffering and find the positive to connect with.
