I was adopted at 5 weeks old. I'm 54 now. 

I was lucky - adoption trauma didn't hit me until I was 40. 

Here's what I've learned so far.

It runs counter to pretty much everything every other person in the adoption space says. 

So I'm not asking you to believe me. 

Trust only yourself.
