  • Healing From Within – Three Steps to Rewire Your Brain and Access Your Highest Potential
    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
    Special Guest: Marlise Karlin

In today’s episode of Healing From Within, your host Sheryl Glick, author of The Living Spirit: Answers for Healing and Infinite Love which offers stories insights and techniques to discover and use the Universal Laws of Energy for multi-dimensional healing spiritual communication and for personal development, welcomes Marlise Karlin author of The Simplicity of Stillness Method which is scientifically researched sound recordings of music and words that transmit advanced life Energy offered in three different formats which may help to rewire your brain and access your highest potential. As always we will focus on Universal Energy as Energy is everything and living in alignment to higher energy offers untold possibilities for greater awareness and higher consciousness. Marlise is an internationally renowned though leader and author who has shared the stage with visionaries Gregg Braden, Panache Desai and Dr Eric Pearl a former guest on “Healing From Within.” Converging 25 years of studies in Eastern holistic traditions and modern science including Epigenetics and Neuroplasticity Marlise developed The Simplicity of Stillness, SOS Method.

Marlise wrote… “For many people it arrives through the doorway of a challenge: a job loss, a death, an illness or major life crisis. Rarely do we consider these ordeals messages—but indeed mine were speaking too loud to be ignored. As the saying goes, “You can run but you can’t hide. Somehow I had gotten lost along the way, I applied the tools I had personally synthesized from the various traditions I had studied which now included setting a razor like focus of Intention with Making Requests and converging the potency of A Stillness meditation developed from energetic healings I had received…the answers soon arrived.”

It became clear to Marlise that certain traumas and events in her life were opportunities and also the catalyst for making profound and wise changes in her thoughts and life…Marlise wrote… “Spirals of shame and anxiety flooded my body…How could I have done so many horrible things in my life: I’ll never know what true freedom is…I’m not worthy.Everything I believed to be possible now seemed like a dream.

HOPELESSNESS WAS OVERWHELMING.” It was then she had a stream of indefinable Energy come through you like a form of liquid Love and negativity drawn out and old thoughts and images released…My perception of life changed and sadness turned to wonder and awe… the injury I had been suffering from turned out to be a gift that helped me to connect to this healing power or unified field of intelligence and my capacity for love seemed to overflow.

Sheryl says it sounds like a moment known as the Dark Soul..a point of surrendering control and old beliefs and perceptions being humbled and asking the Universe or source for help bringing guidance from your inner being or soul.

Marlise describes the difference between healing and a cure as it relates to The Simplicity of Stillness….Healings occur in many forms mental, emotional and spiritual as well as physical. For an illness to be cured the associated physical symptoms usually disappear. A physical cure can be dramatically evidential while a mental and emotional healing might not be—but it can have a long lasting effect on a person’s life that is dramatically evidential.

Many people express the desire to know what peace is and how to attain a state of higher consciousness. Sheryl and Marlise discuss their personal journey and search to bring peace happiness and well being into their own lives and to offer various insights into beginning one’s own path to renewal and health.

Marlise wrote… “Imagine an unprecedented future that includes the best modern medicine with methods that reconnect you to your innate power to generate self-healing in all areas of your life.

  • Healing From Within – Tools and Spiritual Insights for working with Alzheimer’s
    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
    Special Guest: Megan Carnarius

In today’s episode of Healing From Within, your host Sheryl Glick , author of her newest book The Living Spirit: Answers for Healing and Infinite Love which shares a look at Universal Energy Healing and our Multi-dimensional uniqueness as spiritual beings having a physical life, welcomes Megan Carnarius author of A Deeper Perspective on Alzheimer’s and other Dementias as she shares her vast experience as a licensed care giver for those with Alzheimer’s’ and has discovered that her patients as essentially timeless beings can be given a positive loving and compassionate supportive environment for their wellbeing and for our own healing process. As Megan wrote… “A person with dementia has a whole and well spirit and in the broadest sense their brain is but a vehicle of self-expression: it does not define their essence.”

Personally, Sheryl experienced Megan’s book, as most accurately and wisely sharing a clear multidimensional view for healing mind-body and spirit and to learn that all diseases, traumas, and challenging life events, offer us a way to ultimately manifest a new level of health and a greater love of life when we embrace the challenge in the most positive and courageous loving way.

Megan shows us that there is a need to revise our current methods for taking care of people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias and to see what may appear to be hopeless can actually provide opportunities for insight, inspiration and a greater view of ourselves as expanding and evolving human beings. Megan shares how to create a supportive environment around the various stages of the disease, a clearer definition of the various forms of dementia and what to expect from the patient as the disease progresses. Megan is a registered nurse, licensed nursing home administrator and massage therapist who has experience in designing and running memory care settings.

Megan decided to write this book because of her life experience with care-giving, an interest in healing and some understanding about chronic illnesses.. “People with Alzheimer’s just grabbed me and wouldn’t let go.” By reading A Deeper Perspective on Alzheimer’s and other Dementias readers can take away a more positive less scary view of dementia and many approaches on how to deal with things that come up..a practical way to see the similarities between people who have this disease and the best ways to use your resources energy and intelligence so you can maintain balance and a more relaxed way of living during challenging times.

It has been noted that when societies are stable and thriving there tends to be movement toward improving the quality of life for all citizens young and old, well or sick, however other cultures treat dementia with fear and ostracism and when there are not enough resources and understanding these people are lost.. Even now there are many pro and con responses to “Agism”… stereotyping and the question of how old is Old and how to care for this segment of the population.

    Some examples of how people deal poorly with dementia-ism are;

Speaking in front of the person about them as if they are not there…
A physician telling a family It’s Alzheimer’s without doing any clinical or lab evaluations: or telling them they should contact hospice while the person with memory loss is still highly mobile, has a tan and still hikes in the mountains….
An official saying all people with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis should be locked in secure areas, with no acknowledgement of the stages of progress….
Staff or family helping too much and not allowing a person with memory loss to have a sense of ownership of their own day.

Megan uses storytelling to elucidate different aspects of illness using examples from people she worked with. Sheryl loves the story of St Francis who has a fear of lepers and t...

  • Healing From Within – Ping Pong Teaches Life Lessons
    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
Special Guest: Guido Mina Di Sospirio

In today’s episode of “Healing From Within”, your host Sheryl Glick author of The Living Spirit: Answers for Healing and Infinite Love which shares stories of spiritual awakenings, spiritual communication, healing energies, miracles and ways to go within to find your true self, welcomes Guido Mina di Sospirio author of The Metaphysics of Ping- Pong who will show us how his love for spinning a feather-weight ball takes him from his local Ping Pong club to training drills with a world class coach sharing many philosophical principles of Plato and Aristotle, metaphysicians, the psychology of Carl Jung’s Sun Tzu’s war tactics the I Ching and much more. Guido was raised in Milan Italy in a multilingual home, trained as a classical guitarist and attended USC’s School of Cinema Production.

Guido as listeners of Healing From Within well know my guests and I seek to understand our spiritual and human nature in relationship to Universal Energy in order to know more about ourselves our emotions illusions and our multi-dimensional state of being. As we share our experiences and those of leaders in the metaphysical and scientific religious and medical fields we learn to transcend fear and worry and achieve wellbeing peace balance and a greater state of love of self and others.

Guido shows how what began as a hobby, Ping Pong, became a platform for a journey of the soul and heart and a quest for philosophical clarity. From celebrity clubs like SPIN in NYC owned by Susan Sarandon to pro athletic competitions table tennis—already the second largest participatory sport in the world, is undergoing a huge renaissance in the U.S…We will discuss two breeds of ping pong players: empiricists and metaphysicians, and will explore a world- wide passion for table tennis through the Perennial Philosophy of Plato and Aristotle and the psychology of Carl Jung.

As a child, Guido used to go to a summer camp in the Dolomites, which is a mountain range in the Alps in northeastern Italy. The boys and girls played, hiked, flirted and enjoyed the great outdoors and when it rained we were corralled into a huge recreation room on the first floor of the building and there was a ping pong table and large windows looking out toward the mountains…one boy a little older than Guido and his friends, was clearly the best player and he used a Butterfly Japanese racket. Into Guido’s teen years, he went to the Sea for vacation and there again was a ping pong table.

Guido writes, “As a teenager in the Swiss Alps I was able to play outside high in the Bernese Alps. With gusting winds that made the ball swerve unpredictably the effect was exhilarating and surreal..Surrounded by glistening snow- capped peaks and strong sun with cows mooing and grazing on the steepest slopes we used to play and drink Coca cola mixed with ice water from the glaciers…It was enlivening and empowering. For the most part and for most of the kids ping pong remained a summertime activity Then a life changing move from Milan to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California added new dimensions to his life experiences. Guido married and moved to Miami and put up an outdoor ping pong table and began teaching his three boys.” At that time it was still a recreational game.

Guido goes on to say “My full blown obsession with ping pong began 4 years ago with the semi-epic road trip from Albuquerque New Mexico through the southwest and into Southern California and then north to San Francisco. In a library in Big Sur a young librarian told me about Henry Miller and Bob Dylan who really didn’t hit it off but found out they both played ping pong. Ping pong has always attracted clever people. Discovering I had high blood pressure and needed more exercise I decided to find a club where I could have more time and exercise and met some interesting people I l...

  • Healing From Within -TRAPPED SOULS GO HOME
TRAPPED SOULS GO HOME Volume (3) |Episode (82)
    September 5, 2016

    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
    Special Guest: Amy Major

In today’s episode of Healing From Within, your host Sheryl Glick, a Reiki energy practitioner and medium as well as author of The Living Spirit which shares stories of spiritual awakenings spiritual communication, healing energies, miracles and ways to go within to find your energetic and Higher Self, welcomes Amy Major author of Toward the Light a Light- worker who assists Trapped Souls and Earthbound ghosts to find their way home. Stories of ghosts and haunting have often frightened people in the past but now with a better understanding of the Afterlife by many, and the understanding that earthbound spirits-ghosts are people just like ourselves, in need of help with the problems they face and need to resolve, we can begin to use spirit communication to counsel and aid the deceased in crossing over and to understand the world of spirit from a ghost’s perspective.

Amy will share her unique gift to help rescue spirits who have for many reasons have been unable to make the transition beyond this physical life when it was their time to cross over. Amy is a renowned Spirit Rescue medium who helps souls who have chosen to remain in exile, who are unable or unwilling to cross over into the Afterlife. Amy a trained psychic and medium known for more than 20 years in the paranormal and spiritual fields introduces rescue mediumship and this book is the first and only guide dedicated entirely to spirit rescue and freeing the deceased from their self-imposed exile on earth. There are different specialties that mediums develop over time and choose to work with and we talk about that later in the show.

At a young age, Amy Major learned that she could communicate with her spiritual and animal guides. Eventually she developed astral projection, as well as the ability to see auras and energy surrounding people. Told by her guides at twenty years old that she could connect with spirits, she acquired strong rescue mediumship skills and has dedicated her life to rescue work and educating people about spirit rescue.

Amy writes… “Unlike her father who believed that you no longer existed after you died Amy had a sense of knowing we were not alone in this world and was inquisitive about God angelk00s and the afterlife and led her to explore different religions go to Sunday school to see how God was worshipped and knew I wanted to dedicate my life to serving God but had no idea what to do. I daydreamed a lot and later in life learned I was having out of body experiences through astral projection. Movies opened my mind to the possibilities of life after death and depictions of ghosts. Due to my unknown ability to sense energy my home was always filled with strange energy. However the idea of seeing a ghost scared me so I didn’t see them just felt them around me. Lack of funds for school drove me to spend 4 years in the Navy and then I settled in New Hampshire…My Mother in law who was so open to the spiritual and psychic world made an appointment to see an astrologer who told me I was very psychic and would live my life serving others with my psychic abilities. I began to study and soon learned that communication levels and abilities with spirits varied from one medium to another. Everyone had different abilities and gifts and if they chose to educate themselves could communicate with Spirit. My guides told me I was a different kind of medium and that these heavy energies would be around me and needed my help to find their way to the other side. I was to be a “Rescue Medium.”

It is well known that not all spirits cross over due to several reasons such as traumatic events or emotional blockages that hold them from completing their journey. The truth is earthbound spirits cross over only when they are ready.

  • Healing From Within – Living with Alzheimer’s with Courage and Empathy
    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
    Special Guest: Greg O’Brien

In today’s episode of “Healing From Within”, your host Sheryl Glick author of The Living Spirit: Answers for Healing and Infinite Love welcomes Greg O’Brien, author of On Pluto. Greg has more than 35 years of newspaper and magazine experience as a writer, editor investigative reporter and publisher. He is the editor and author of several books and has published many books by other writers through his publishing affiliate Codfish Press. Mr. O’Brien contributes articles to the Huffington Post. Greg shares his diagnosis with early onset Alzheimer’s explaining how his maternal grandfather, his mother and uncle died from the disease. Acting on long term memory and skill, coupled with well-developed journalistic grit, O’Brien decided to tackle the disease and his imminent decline by writing frankly about the journey. He presents the weapons he has gathered to slow Alzheimer’s progression—medications, aerobic exercise, daily writing, an uncompromising routine and the company of family and friends.

Sheryl asks Greg how he chose the title On Pluto. In order to understand how bizarre some of the events and symptoms may be and share them with others. Greg seeks with humor rather than fear to know what it’s like to lose your mind and thoughts… entering into perhaps a place of fear or sorrow…. to see your very identity and personality— that which makes you “you” in the sense of the physical ego- based world disappear. Veteran journalist Greg O’Brien likens it to a trip to Pluto where no one can see you or hear what is said. Pluto he writes is metaphor for loss of self—penetrating isolation that heightens the urge to drift even farther.

Sheryl tells Greg that she believes he has written an honest naked truthful and authentic account of living with Alzheimer’s not dying with it and in the deepest sense of perhaps discovering a greater spiritual reality: to value your spiritual connections to those who have passed before and who she feels may be at your side to support this journey while gathering the knowledge and soul energy to help yourself and others.

Sheryl is amused and delighted to tell Greg she often shares coincidences with her guests and of course today she has them with Greg. Sheryl goes on to say my son’s name is Gregg like you and in your book the foreword begins with,” Every story has a beginning middle and end….and we met you Greg in the middle…When I was in Junior High School in the IGC or gifted class which enabled me to skip a grade.. one day I was in a history class and for some reason my attention was elsewhere..I didn’t know it at the time but I was highly intuitive and was often distracted or picking up impressions from Spirit or that plane of life beyond here where all thoughts and energies, souls, and life continues…So the teacher called on me and asked for the 3 parts of the Constitution and I blurted out, “The beginning, middle, and end. I was so proud of myself….She was very angry with me and thought I was being a wise-guy but actually that was as good an answer as any, for in truth in the circle of life there is no end and no beginning only continuous energy and evolution.”

Another coincidence happened when Sheryl saw the cover of Greg’s book with the 3 dandelion blowing in the gentle breeze. She thought immediately of a story in her book The Living Spirit where she tells an intuitive clairvoyant impression she had of her granddaughter Samantha holding a dandelion seed pod and blowing the white poof particles into the wind while making a wish. Samantha seemed sad and she didn’t know what to ask for. Soon after this Sheryl picked up a children’s book by Dr. Wayne Dyer entitled “I Am”. She came to a page that appeared to be the exact image of Samantha holding the dandelion and with the picture were the words… “Along the way you will find great happiness and love and you’ll learn that wishes ...

  • Healing From Within – LoveHuman
    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
    Special Guest: Betsy Otter Thompson

In today’s episode of “Healing from Within”, your host Sheryl Glick author of The Living Spirit which shares stories of spiritual awakenings, spiritual communication, healing energies, miracles and ways to go within to find your True Self, welcomes Betsy Thompson a former guest on “Healing From Within” and author of her newest book LoveHuman. As author of Walking Through Illusion, The Mirror Theory, LoveParent and You Are What You Think, Betsy has discovered her passion for communicating the Universal Laws of Spirit for people to have the opportunity to know themselves better, move beyond blame and assume personal responsibility for creating a life that is human and humane.

Betsy shares a most descriptive and clear view of Where You Come From and Where You Are Going…Often in life we are so concerned about our physical and emotional survival that we find little time to ask these important questions but when a challenge trauma or event shakes up our belief that we are in control of our lives, we may begin to see that we are more than we appear to be and life is more than merely surviving our daily issues.

Betsy tells us what LoveHuman is all about. LoveHuman is the attempt to answer these questions such as: “Why am I here? What is the meaning of life? Am I doing what I came here to do? Where was I before I got here and where will I be when I leave? Are we alone in the cosmos? If we aren’t alone, is our universe similar to other universes? Do they have human beings and, if they do, are they more evolved than we are or less evolved then we are? Is their cosmos older than ours or younger than ours? Will we ever meet face-to-face” The gift of LoveHuman is guidance regarding how to find comfort in a world where uncomfortable things happen. Perhaps the peace we seek is only possible on a large scale if we live it on a small scale; one person at a time finding resolutions they hope that others will find.

LoveHuman also deals with many topics around the give/receive concept: our universe, possible other universes, transition, rebirth, our presence here, and what it’s all about. LoveHuman speaks to the subject of health, dreams, peace, and miracles. The purpose of the information is not to differentiate between fact and fiction, but to help us embrace the world as it is and the people around us as they are—and love whatever that is. Not because it’s a perfect world but because, as we love and accept life as it is, love and acceptance grow.

Betsy says while writing LoveHuman, “I had to trust that if the message pleased me and offered common sense answers to the age-old questions, it would appeal to others as well. I also had to trust that the book didn’t have to be formulaic to be readable and enjoyable; it just had to satisfy a need in the reader. As you turn the pages of LoveHuman, keep an open mind. Be willing to look at preconceived notions from a slightly different angle. When I shifted my perceptions, I found new ways of seeing the past— new ways of seeing the past brought resolution to old and painful heartache. As new perceptions brought healing into the present, they created new feelings. New feelings encouraged new actions, and new actions created new results.”

Betsy as a child, was told to treat others as she wanted to be treated, but no one ever explained why that was so important. She knew she had to be nice because nice behavior was correct behavior. But neither niceness nor correctness was sufficient motivation when times got tough, so Betsy starting second-guessing the people around her. She believed that if she could only understand their motives, she could adapt her behavior to make their behavior bearable. Those who confused Betsy the most—spiritually and emotionally—moved on to live their growth as she moved on to live hers.

  • Healing From Within – Accessing Your Sixth Sense
    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
    Special Guest: Dr. Susan Shumsky

In today’s episode of “Healing From Within”, your host Sheryl Glick author of The Living Spirit: Answers of Healing and Infinite Love which shares insights stories and techniques to become conscious and aware of Universal Energy, Spiritual Communication and Multi-dimensional healing, welcomes Dr. Susan Shumsky author of her newest book Awaken Your Third Eye. Dr Shumsky has dedicated her life to helping people take command of their lives in powerful positive ways to develop their innate spiritual gifts and is a leader in the field of human potential.

Dr. Shumsky, a spiritual teacher and author of 11 books including “Divine Revelation” will share a unique field proven technology for contacting the divine presence, hearing and testing the inner voice, and receiving clear divine guidance. In today’s show we will explore the third eye in depth to discover the workings of the subtle energy body and its relationship to the physical body. Dr. Shumsky was most blessed for 22 years to study with her mentor Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and Dr Shumsky served on his personal staff for 7 years.

Susan tells us that through the window of your eyes you can view the ever changing landscape of your beautiful miraculous world. You can delight in beholding the glorious manifest creation around you—both the natural world and man-made objects. You perceive this magnificent world with your 5 senses…seeing, hearing tasting smelling and feeling. But there is a sixth sense. With this sixth sense—a higher sense perception, you can open the gateway to subtler realms of existence. You can develop your inner eye and view an invisible world consisting of multiple dimensions, alternate realities subtle planes, spiritual worlds filled with light and parallel universes of indescribable wonders. This eye of wisdom knowledge illumination and intuition is aptly called “The Third Eye.”

The mechanism of sight according to science is a marriage between the object of perception, your two eyes and your brain. It is believed the mechanism of inner sight (insight or intuition) uses an inner third eye seated in the pineal gland. This gland is somewhat of a mystery to modern Western allopathic medicine but is well known to Ayurvedic medicine of India, to Chinese medicine and to the ancient cultures of Egypt Sumeria Assyria, Babylonia, Greece Rome Mesoamerica and others.

In India this third eye is known as the ajna chakra, a subtle energy plexus in the middle of your brain seated in the pineal gland. It is the portal of higher vision where you can see what is not evident by using your eyes. This chakra is not in your physical body. If you were to dissect a cadaver, you would not find it anywhere. It is located in your subtle energy body.

Although the third eye is one of your chakras (ajna chakra) and therefore located in your subtle energy body it is also associated with your physical body. Its home is your pineal gland located at the center of your brain. Interestingly the word “epiphany” derived from the Greek and Latin is not a coincidence. The ancient Greeks believed the faculty of inspiration to be seated in the pineal gland. The Hebrew word penile translates to the face of God.

Since shamans of the Amazon claim that DMT, a substance that can evoke an altered state of consciousness and a loss of connection to the physical world and at the same time an immersion in experiences and communication with spiritual realms and otherworldly beings or strange environments likened to alien or parallel universes DMT awakens understanding of the self and communication with a higher power and scientists have sought to discover its connection with the pineal gland which has been associated with the third eye (a chakra) and higher states of consciousness.

The pineal looks like a tiny pinecone beehive or corn stalk and the ...

  • Healing From Within – Autism Changes One Family for the Better
    Host: Sheryl Glick R.M.T.
    Special Guest: Carrie Cariello (http://www.carriecariello.com/)
In today’s episode of Healing From Within, your host Sheryl Glick author of The Living Spirit: Answers for Healing and Infinite Love welcomes Carrie Cariello author of What Color is Monday? How Autism Changed One Family for the Better. Carrie offers a positive perspective on the challenges of raising a child with autism without sugar coating some of the struggles along the way.
Carrie shares her daily experiences of raising a child with autism who views the world through a different lens and how the family has learned to adapt and as a result brought the family into a more cooperative and loving interaction focused on living and loving to the best of their ability.
Carrie says that many people and parents would focus on finding a reason for why their child is different but you chose to reflect on how to positively make life work for the family giving everyone the love they need to stretch and not break. Carrie tells us a little bit about her family, how many children she has, and where her son Jack falls into that order. As a busy mom of five kids-four sons and one daughter, she chronicles family adventures and experiences: most of which we can all readily relate to Her words to describe the chaos of life within a big family along with the quiet moments that seem so ordinary but are often extraordinary and can be expressed honestly and funny sometimes emotionally. She tries to notice the little things that often get overlooked in the course of a whirlwind of a day…but Carrie and her husband Joe try to keep each child as an integral part of the family and make it as special as it is.
Carrie, as most authors struggled for the best title to capture the feeling and message of the book. At first she thought about using the word, “snowflakes’ somewhere in the title because she thinks people with autism are all unique and fragile much like beautiful snowflakes. But, one day Jack asked her, “Mom what color do you see Monday?” She responded that she did not see the days of the week as having different colors, but Jack told her he did see every day as a different color. Sheryl as a Reiki Master Teacher suggests the chakra system or energy system of our bodies represent different life issues we experience in the course of a lifetime and each chakra is represented by various colors. Sensitive people during energy sessions often mention that they see color and certain colors seem associated with different emotional responses..so relating to the days as different colors may be Jack’s understanding or relationship to his processing of the world and finding beauty in his life and family.
Jack was officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder when he was 2 years old and we somehow hoped as many parents do that he would outgrow it and some children do. Though coming to terms with autism as a lifelong diagnosis was difficult she had little time to focus on what was ahead. The day after Jack’s diagnosis Carrie learned she was pregnant with their fourth child. Carrie and her husband feel that having a large family as she had 3 more children after Jack’s diagnosis would be a gift and support system.
Sheryl wonders if Jack was locked into any specific routine at home that is different from Carrie’s other children or does she encourage he toe the line just as his siblings do? Having a family of five children was perhaps the best thing she and her husband might have done for Jack. He had a group of his own, in which each sibling seems to have a role of their own. When it comes to Jack his sister Rose is very nurturing while his younger brother Henry is the most demanding of him. Joey and Charlie are so intentional in bringing him into their fold. While Jack is not incredibly locked into any specific routine at home, he also must toe the line just as his siblings do. That’s not to say there aren’t difficult times..
