Hashimoto's disease is a common disorder that can cause hypothyroidism. It's an autoimmune condition, most common in women between the ages of 30 and 50, but it can be treated easily with the proper medication. Today's guest, Dr. Emily Kiberd, was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease after pregnancy, and her symptoms varied between being really fatigued and gaining weight for no apparent reason.
