Henriette Albon, joins the Women of Distance Podcast shortly after claiming a strong victory at the Transgrancanaria Classic 126k - where she won the women's race by more than one hour, and placed 12th outright, in her longest (and possibly strongest) race to date!
In this episode, Lauren and Henriette discuss the impact of her childhood experiences with sport, her drive for mastery, her experience as an elite OCR and Skimo athlete, and how that has shaped her passion and dedication to trail and ultrarunning.
Henriette shares her "coming up" story in the sport, and details how this eye-catching race result was no overnight success. She speaks to the importance of seeking joy and curiosity in training, how she and her husband (Jon Albon) manage training at a world class level, "together", and of course we break down her race-experience at the 2025 Transgrancanaria Classic.
