This is a live recording of Taralyn actually walking you (and her yoga students during a class) through the fear release guided meditation that she has been using regularly herself for years. The first 6 minutes are the subconscious deep guided work, and then there is about 9 minutes of relaxation for you to enjoy before she walks you up out of the deep release. If you'd like to skip the center relaxation part, you can finish the guided meditation, and then skip to 14:30 so you be sure to be counted up out of the deep subconscious state. 

So go ahead, find a quiet place for you to lay or sit down, and enjoy. You can use this guided meditation over and over with different fears.

Having children has such a beautiful gift in it in regards to our own spirituality. Sometimes, it feels like it's the cool kid thing to do to complain about parenthood all the time. On the other hand, it can be easy to portray our children as heavenly cherubs who do no wrong and parentland as being full of only bliss.  It's a tricky balance to find between being honest about the fact that parenting isn’t unicorns and roses  all the time, but also realizing that it is also a great  honor and really meaningful work to engage in.

In this episode, we talk about that balance and wrestle with how to be authentic to ourselves, recognizing and asking for help when it’s hard, and soaking in the moments of love and enjoyment when they come. We hope you leave it feeling like you aren’t alone in your struggles and in your joys. Parenting is full of both.

How do you feel about your body? We live in a world that prizes a narrow body ideal, and it is easy to find our own perceptions of ourselves swayed by this view. In this episode, we discuss the brilliant body image work of Lexie and Lindsay Kite in their book, More Than a Body. We discuss how we can leave the waters of self objectication, where we experience the world through an outsider’s perspective of our bodies, onto the firm land of embodiment, where we can truly experience life IN our bodies, through  our own experience of them. It’s a game changing concept.

Life changing

…Having a baby is one thing, but raising that baby, your child(ren) can be exhausting and confusing at times. Am I doing this right, should I do this? Etc. etc. This podcast halps shed light on parenting and literally gives the best advice. The title “Finding the magic” could not be more spot on. I find myself being able to be more connected to my children and husband sometimes when I just feel lost. It helps me understand nd see more clearly into our relationships. This podcast saved my motherhood! I read all of Janet Lansbury’s books prior to my first daughter and told myself I can do this…then when my second was born (daughter had just turned 3), I started to fall apart. I found this podcast…and [went] down the amazing rabbit hole of this podcast. They dive into incredible topics, things I am thinking of, they read and discuss books I’ve read or are in my to-read list…I just cannot say enough good things about this podcast and these women. I listen while doing laundry, walking, making dinner…wherever I can. The mamas are like having coffee with best friends–they keep SO REAL. And during the pandemic–bless you girls. This time is so challenging, sometimes I feel like I am barely getting by–but they make me laugh because they remind you that everyone is going through this thing called life and motherhood–even now. STUMBLED UPON THIS PODCAST

I’m normally not a podcast person, but I found this one and love it! … Often times we hear what we should be doing without any encouragement for what we are actually doing. I found the lack of “do it like this” completely wonderful and tips for just dealing with my emotions or changing my mindset is what I needed. It’s one thing to set aside time to sleep. That’s tricky enough. However, even when we allow ourselves the time to sleep, sometimes our kids simply don’t cooperate in allowing us to get several hours of consecutive sleep. What can we do then? In this episode, we address some coping strategies to help you when you are dealing with this special brand of sleep deprivation.

We also talk about how it can be tricky to find connection time with our kids once school starts and give some tips that have helped us.

Life is about making lots of choices and finding balance, and there is no one answer that works for everyone. In this episode, Taralyn talks about keeping the embers of dreams alive while you try to find that balance for yourself and what works in your life. Her three tips for deepening the experience of developing your own gifts are to 1) remember what you loved as child, 2) carve out a little bit of space every day to keep furthering your gifts as you incubate them for another season in your life, and 2) periodically finding some time to do a deep plunge into whatever your gifts are.
