Awe is an emotion that we don’t typically think about as an emotion but it turns out that this emotion could be a key to unlock fulfillment and a greater sense of meaning in our lives. Why? Because when we feel that sense of awe, we see that we are part of something bigger and greater than ourselves, and that in turn inspires us to do good, be better, and ultimately feel more alive. I love this podcast and I appreciate the hard work that goes into every episode. I just can’t imagine life as a parent without any guidance, and I feel like the hosts are my weekly guides. I’m blown away with how many valuable resources I find in each episode.

As mentioned in the intro, they literally do all of the hard research on parenting and distill the information through the podcast. I’m a mother of a 4 and 6 year old and I wouldn tfeel as confident and grounded in my motherhood journey if it wasn't for the resources provided by you ladies.

I love this podcast so much I often find myself craving a second episode each week.

In this episode, we explore his book, How to Raise Kind Kids, and discuss the benefits of being kind (it actually increases our happiness as well), and how to teach our children to be kind to themselves and others. Something here for everyone regardless of your religion or spiritual beliefs. No political side notes. Just MAMAS looking for joy and peace and love and all of the good things we are all trying to find. This is THE PODCAST.

We all want our kids to feel confident. We want them to feel capable. In this episode, we delve into research on what words we use to encourage our kids. The concept of praise is a fascinating one, and some methods yield results that are opposite of what we intend. We discuss the difference between effort based praise and results based praise, and why it’s worth practicing the first. We also explore when it is really powerful to use identity praise when instilling values, and we describe how gratitude, love and authenticity are the keys in the end to helping our kids feel confident as we delight in their existence with them.

After my first baby I suffered from crippling postpartum depression and anxiety. I went to a maternal mental health clinic and my therapist recommended this podcast to me. I have been listening  ever since. Two years later I still look forward to every episode andI am now months into my morning practice.

This podcast has helped give me tools to love my life, feel joy in the present moment, and dpen all my most important relationships. I’m so grateful for these women and their perspective and knowledge. I feel like they are my friends and they truly have inspired me to make life altering changes that are helping me find the magic in my every day.

If we live to be 80 years old, that means we will live approximately 4000 weeks. Most people, when asked, guess a much higher number. We are, by nature of our mortal lives here on earth, limited in our experience of time. Realizing this is both humbling and liberating. Once we realize that we cannot do EVERYTHING (because it is impossible) and that the present moment is all we ever actually have (because even that limited 4000 number is not a guarantee), we can get onto truly living. Living now. Living fully.

In this episode, we discuss how to try to balance holding a vision of what we want in the future while still  living in the present moment. There is freedom when we realize that we can honor the past and the future, and still recognize where we really are–which is right here, right now.

This is my go to podcast especially when I’m having a hard time with life of being a mom and wife. I can listen to this podcast and feel accepted for who I am, yet feel inspired to change in a loving and patient way. Thank you!

"Put the big rocks in first"; a brilliant analogy by a brilliant mind BUT what if there are just too many big rocks? How can we acknowledge the myth that we can do it all if only we prioritize the "main" things. With all the work we do here around value alignment and setting priorities our world just plain has too many things that we want to say yes to. Saying no to something we know isn't aligned isn't the hard thing, saying no to something we wish could be a yes IS THE THING. Often times we live on the brink of complete overwhelm because there are so many good things we would love to do. As mothers we also "should" ourselves right into the ground. Layering expectation onto ourselves until we have no room to breathe. How can we dig ourselves out from under this pile of big rocks and "should's"?

In this episode we talk about the power of an embodied YES and how we can plan based on seasons of our lives. We also discuss recognizing the fuel you are running on (hint hint fear, shame, need for approval are all unsustainable fuel sources!).
