A Must for Moms
This Podcast has been such a blessing for me. It talks about all the important things that we face with a foundation in motherhood. They provide inspiring and realistic goals and changes. It sheds light on ways to gently move myself into the woman and mother I aspire to be. It really limits my feelings of inadequacy and provides clear wisdom that is beyond what I could find on my own. They have also helped me see the cycles of trauma that I have faced growing up and how to break through that to provide a better life for my children. Truly a must listen.Sharing what they learn has helped me grow and I have loved and been moved by every single episode I’ve listened to!
It’s easy to keep our cool, accept our children for who they are, and hold boundaries with unconditional love when our kids are behaving well, but what about when their behavior scares us? What do we do when our kids lie? What about when they are feeling extra reserved and we worry they won’t be able to navigate social situations? How do we handle when our kids are so easily frustrated for reasons we don’t even understand (does it really matter how your socks line up with your heel?
In this episode, we draw on Dr. Becky Kennedy’s book Good Inside to address these issues. We share many ways of reframing these difficult situations in a way that really helps us as parents see things in a bit more clearly and patiently.

My go to
I am inspired literally. Every. Episode. I recommend you to all of my friends. I love my children to pieces and I am so grateful to have found a sound resource that I can turn to, to unfold the best version of myself for them. Until recent years I turned my nose up at all ‘self-help’ type resources. Until I discovered one day I don’t know more than everyone. Now I want ot learn from the best. I truly feel like you ladies are top tier, and I truly truly thank you.
Nature has the power to heal us, ground us, and connect us to each other and something bigger than ourselves. In this episode Katelin explores some of the extraordinary benefits of being in nature for us and for our kids. You'll hear tips and ideas for how to experience the gifts of nature even during winter time :).

So much wisdom and humility
You women are amazing, thank you
There are so many situations that can be hard for kids (and parents!) during childhood. The beginning of school, separation from parents for a date night or work, or any change or transition can be difficult for kids and their emotions. In this episode, we draw on the wisdom of the book Good Inside to give lots of tips around this topic and make these situations easier.
We also provide an alternative lens to look at whining through, and give several helpful tips on how to handle this universally annoying sound of our children whining. (It bothers all of us, right?:)

Review of the week!

I’ve listened to this podcast from day one and obsessively check my podcast feed every Monday to see what the new episode is. Episodes are always exactly what I need to hear. They give concrete tips and ideas for a more wholehearted life and do it without making you feel guilty or like you need to change. Their views on parenting speak right to my heart and I am so grateful for the work they put into their thoughts every week. They’re changing my family one episode at a time.
Life gives us lots of opportunities to both give and receive all year long, and especially around the holidays. How can we give from a place of wholeness without being drained? How can we truly receive what life has to offer us (and the gifts people give us) from a place of gratitude instead of emptiness or resistance?
In this episode, Taralyn gives some tips on how to deepen our experience of giving and receiving that will enhance our lives instead of depleting us.

While the sentiment of being defined by Motherhood can be endearing, in today's Magic Moment Felica discusses what she feels could be troubling with this conversation and how we can reframe ourselves as whole persons as opposed to defining ourselves inside a role. She discusses how defining ourselves in a finite role can create dissonance in our authentic self and how we can let go of control and see our multitudes to prevent tunnel vision in our parenting. There is no one right way, we are all unique in our families and in finding ourselves we will be better for our children and those we care for. When our kids misbehave, it is easy to start spiraling in fear that they are going to end up as what we consider failed adults. We just want to do best for our kids, and sometimes, that leads us to parent using punishments, anger, and shame. In this episode, we dive deep into the work of Dr. Becky Kennedy, author or Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be. We focus specifically on how we can truly change our mindset when looking at our kids and ourselves with kindness and grace, with the knowledge that we are both truly good inside. We are good people, having a hard time sometimes, making mistakes sometimes. We also go into her beautiful tips and steps for repair when we slip into shaming tactics as parents. This episode has lots of inspiring info, concrete tips, and encouragement that you can do this.

Life-changing
Who know a podcast could be everything you were looking for? I feel like I’m being wrapped in a giant hug when I listen to this. It’s helped me and bettered me in SO many ways–I can’t say thank you enough!
Everyone has emotions, but some kids seem simply extra emotional. What can we do when it feels like our kids are crying over EVERYTHING? In this episode, we explore how to handle it when our kids have big emotions that alarm us. We also address feeling judgemental towards others’ parenting styles, and how to deal with power struggles with kiddos.

A parenting podcast for all the ages
I have been listening to Find the Magic for a long time now and appreciate thaty they provide info that spans from mom of newborns to parents of teens. They have kids in all stages (similar to me) and also connect to women in general (they don’t only talk about things related to being a mom). They share parenting tips and info on many great books, but also lots of information about mediation, miracle mornings and taking time for ourselves amidst the chaos of parenthood. I can’t recommend this podcast enough!
Potty training can be a seemingly daunting task that many of us dread––whether because we’ve heard some nightmarish stories or maybe we’ve had some negative experiences ourselves. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Katelin interviews Monica Ferrie, an Australian toilet training expert and educator who shares refreshing insights and a different approach to potty training that follows the learning stages that all of us progress through when we learn how to do anything: modeling, exploring, teaching, automation. We hope you find answers to questions and the confidence you need to navigate potty training respectfully and successfully with your little ones!

Life Changing
I have been BINGING Find the Magic for the past week! I absolutely love their message and how they spread it without making you feel guilty or wrong for your own personal opinions (with the most soothing voices).
Parenting is one of the most transformative spiritual practices that we know of. In this episode, we discuss how we can use the tasks that we are already doing in parenting to actually elevate our spirituality. There are so many tips and tools we use daily that we share here that we use in our own lives regularly. We were largely inspired by Eckhart Tolle’s work on the subjects of spirituality and presence.
