High level narcissists are obsessed and preoccupied with the impressions they are making.

Some individuals lead their entire lives exclusively on a surface level. They are incapable of of introspection, the process of going inside of oneself. Their focus is on the material. by this I mean physical appearance, professional and economic status, societal power."

Their sense of identity is based not on a search for insight, empathy, working with one's character, but the amplification, exaggeration or fabrication of their accomplishments.

Some high level narcissists insist on having perfect children that provide them with the ultimate narcissistic supply.

They choose a golden child who represents their perfection and extraordinary power. The high level narcissistic parent psychologically fuses with this child who identifies with the parent and not with his true self.

High level narcissists are often bright and talented and very charming and successful.

They fool most people with their highly adept personas and skillful manipulations.

High level narcissists control the lives of others in the cruelest ways, causing extraordinary psychological and emotional pain.

If you are partnered with or married to a high level narcissist, this description and portrayal is very familiar to you.
