The Seattle Mariners FINALLY have a day off and earned it by taking a series win for the first time in September versus the Los Angeles Angels. No Ohtani or Trout this time to make the series win more difficult, but the Mariners made this series a bit harder than it needed to be. With back to back wins, the Mariners should ride this momentum into an off day to rejuvenate against the juggernaut that is the Dodgers and hopefully put up a good fight for the home crowd in Seattle this weekend.

The Mariners ended August at an all time high and were sitting at the top of the American League West with their heads held high. Now, 5 games into September, the Mariners have lost the division lead to the Houston Astros.
