There's a lot going on in the world right now and we're all feeling different types of pressures. Each of us handle stress in different ways, and if we're not careful, we can let our unhealthy behaviors take the lead. So, how do we work through seasons of stress to become the best, most helpful, most loving and compassionate expression of ourselves. I believe the Enneagram can help.
It's not a cure-all, but the Enneagram recognizes and takes into account the fluid nature of the personality, which is constantly adapting as circumstances change. There are times when your personality is in a healthy space, times when it's in an average space, and times when it's downright nuts. We all teeter on the continuum between healthy and unhealthy multiple times per day.
But when we take the time to recognize our triggers and automatic reactions, we're able to stop, pivot and intentionally change our response.
In this 3-part series, Anthony and I cover how each Enneagram Type typically deals with stress and offer practical tips to mitigate self-defeating behaviors and remain emotionally balanced. Today, we tackle Enneagram types One, Two, and Three.
