Publisher's Summary:
I was supposed to start college next year, but after being given a ticket to Cairo as a high school graduation present, I skipped the ceremony and jumped on the plane. My name is Mary Fallon. I'm 18 years old, and for as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by ancient Egypt. I could never have imagined the experiences awaiting me here in the ancient land of the pharaohs, including having my first lucid dream. You see, I'm discovering that Spiritual Warfare isn't a video game but the reality we live in, both awake and asleep. You won't find the front lines on any map, because the battles are fought in our hearts and minds, and some of them can be dangerously enjoyable. It's a good thing I'm not fighting alone.
Author's Note: The books in this series are based on real dreams and experiences.

so brilliant. I love how dreams are woven into the ...
Maria's books are riveting, because of the marriage of imagination and intuition. Her stories pull you in and lead you rushing through each page ~ a marvelous adventure you almost feel a part of! Toward the end of the book she writes, "Nothing has changed, yet everything was changing." I stopped and read it again, so brilliant.
I love how dreams are woven into the fabric of the story as it unfolds, like an undercurrent of consciousness, surfacing, And I'm taken with how thoughtfully and lovingly Mary (and no doubt Maria as well) examines and reflects on them. What is this dream trying to tell me? What does it mean?
Maria's characters are always curious and full of wonder, and I find myself learning every bit as much as they do, but it's fun and entertaining, never boring or pedantic. Ancient Egypt has never been a personal fascination, but Maria has made the subject come alive, investing it with a certain thrilling intrigue and luminescence (romance, too!)
I found the spiritual overtones illuminating and comforting For those who believe in a God of Love, our lives are a reflection of our beliefs, and the reminder to pay attention to the messages in our dreams, and to choose our paths wisely with God's guidance, is a welcome one.
I highly recommend this book, and look forward to the next!

Enthralling Page Turner
The last time I read a page turner like this that I could not put down was also by another medium of sorts by the name of André Luiz, physician and poet, who writes through the pen of F.C. Xavier. Much like "The Spirit of Imhotep Lucid Dreams and Spiritual Warfare" , " And Life Goes On " had a spiritual depth that I could not stop quenching my thirst with, not to mention the great story line that had everything to do with life's unanswered questions getting some sun light on them. No pun intended.
Maria Pita mixes real dreams of her own into a fictional character, Mary that makes me think if she had to do it all over again this is the story she would have actually written for herself. Although the story of Mary is fiction and the dreams are all real to the author, there is a clear spiritual revolution and evolution that makes any reader want more.
