Nothing destroys more than flat out apathy. The question isn’t “who cares?” it’s “what do you care about? what are you prioritizing?”  When I think about overcoming complacency, I think two things are needed: passion and purpose - but to expect that you're going to feel those every moment to keep you from becoming complacent is a recipe for disaster.
