Welcome to the latest Back to Basics episode! This is a topic that I’ve never dug into here on the podcast, and it’s one you’ll definitely want to take notes on.

Today we’re covering Planets 101: how the planets work within Human Design and how they affect our design individually.

You can find the planets on your chart in the columns on each side of the bodygraph: They’re the vertical lines of astrological glyphs with numbers below each one.

This is where Human Design differs from astrology in that the right column of planets corresponds to your conscious mind, AKA your personality, but the left column relates to your body, or subconscious design.

And the numbers below each glyph represent the planet’s pairing with a specific gate on your bodygraph (the first number) as well as one of the six profile lines (the second number).

Each planet also has a specific theme or topic of focus, which you might already know from astrology. I’ll be diving into these one by one, and explaining how these themes can come through in your life depending on which planet corresponds with your gates.

I’ll be giving you examples from my chart, and it will be worth it for you to have your own chart handy to follow along.
