Today’s episode is a powerful one! I’m so excited to have Whitney Walker, host of the Women Waken podcast, licensed mental health therapist, and a 4/6 Sacral Generator and Virgo sun / Leo moon / Pisces rising.

Whitney works as a recovery coach and spiritual guide to help women move away from fear-based thinking and find the power to use their voice.

We obviously connected on the importance of the sacral and our pottymouths, duh, but also on why the divine feminine doesn’t have to be this mysterious idea!

I’ve got a deeply personal journey to share today. (Seriously, are you ready to listen to me cry?)

If you’ve been here a while, you know that things have been shifting since the beginning of the year. To be brutally honest, this has been the hardest and one of the most transformative years of my life.

And, not so coincidentally, this year has been in my nodal return. Don’t know what that is? Stick with me — I’ll explain in this episode.

In your Human Design chart, the North and South Nodes are the horseshoe-shaped glyphs in the side columns, and they have gates assigned to them like all the planets.

And a nodal return is when the nodes come back to the same point they were when you were born.

So today I’m talking about my North and South Nodes and the evolution I’ve seen in myself with the energy of my nodal gates — things like:

• the gate that's responsible for my massive emotional highs and lows this year
• how I’m moving away from codependence and forcing intimacy to feel self-worth
• my North Node’s theme of moving from emotional dependence to abundance, and how I can use it to stop judging my own feelings
• and basically my entire freaking JOURNEY to surrender and self-trust this year

FYI, I have the same gates — 59 for the South Node and 55 for the North Node — on both my design and personality side, so double the energy, lucky me!

You might want to grab your chart to follow along, especially if you have gates 55 or 59 anywhere in your bodygraph.

This time of year, we talk about the "thinning of the veil" a lot here in our spiritual communities. And yes, it means that this season often heightens our abilities to talk to spirits more than usual, but it means more than that.

It’s also a fantastic freaking time to go deeper into your body and your authority, and connect to them more strongly.

WHY? Because, if you’re here in the Northern Hemisphere like me, you’re picking up on what nature’s doing: shedding, letting go, preparing to rest. And so we’re called to slow down, tune in, look inward.

You might be feeling things a little more vividly right now or feeling pulled to rest more, step away from conditioned productivity. 

And that’s because the external world, as it enters the season of descent, can be giving you fewer distractions so you can hear your authority more loudly.

So in this episode, I’m going through each Human Design authority and how you can take advantage of this energetic moment to understand it better.

Welcome to another Car Caves episode with a real-time download from me to you!

Today I’m sharing my newfound realization that the way I’ve been asking questions has changed drastically in the past few weeks.

I’ve been working on being more aware of how I respond since I started learning about and living my Human Design, but my process for confirming my responses has followed the same pattern.

Any time I had a creative hit or burst of inspiration and looked for confirmation that this was the correct path or wondering about the next step, I was relying on external guidance.

Even if I was asking these questions in my head or in my journal, I was still looking to other people to tell me what they wanted from me — feeling I had to be of service even if I wasn’t completely getting a YES, turned-on response from within.

But. In the past few weeks I’ve become aware of a big shift. I’m not looking for what other people want when I seek confirmation for my desires and pings.

So in today’s episode, I’m letting you in on my changing awareness — how I’m letting guidance come from Source, God, the divine, spirit — and how that is making a huge difference in my decisions.

This is a big part of my ongoing work with self-trust, being receptive, and getting more comfortable with the knowledge that the right answer will come at the right time.

So listen to the episode and check in with yourself: Where are you asking for permission? Are you asking other people for the answer or trying to force something? Are you responding to something you want or what you think someone else wants?

If you don't know what you want, you are in good company! That's how I started, and that questioning and seeking is at the heart of The Magnetic Rebellion. Welcome to another Car Caves episode with a real-time download from me to you!

Today I’m sharing a breakthrough on how Machine Gun Kelly’s new album brought me to an epiphany on finding creative and emotional release.

(Stay with me here! I promise that even if you don’t know MGK’s music, this applies to you too.)

So in one of the songs on the new MGK album, he talks about how he has to basically stir shit up in his body to get to a place of creativity.

And that’s something I’ve done in the past: provoke people and poke at them emotionally to feel something in myself. It’s also something that Ra, the founder of Human Design, has talked about frequently — how melancholy brings about creativity.

But how true does that have to be? To only find your creative spark through the low moments?

So in this episode, I’m questioning all of that and mulling over how we can turn ourselves on creatively, magnetically, and sexually — how we can fuel our fire without subconsciously provoking turmoil.

I do believe that low energy is there for a reason and that we are here to learn and heal through it. But I’d rather find creative inspiration in other ways and practices!

So listen in and see if this connects with where you are right now in terms of emotional regulation.

Welcome back to another episode of Weathervane Witches! In case you’re tuning in for the first time, this is the latest in a series of conversations with my local support system of incredibly intuitive women:

In this episode, we’re rehashing the WILD RIDE that was eclipse season and how we all coped with it personally and professionally in September — Rachael compared it to playing whack-a-mole and she was not wrong. 😂

And we’re mulling over the idea of surrender, and how we’re coping with the uncomfortable but essential ways that we shift as we constantly undo our blocks and shed our old selves.

We’re digging into:

• how we’re trying to be ready and available for spirit to lead the way and show us the path — instead of thinking we know best
• what the divine surrender feels like versus the desire to just give up and tune out
• giving yourself space and grace to burn out, have the temper tantrum, and come back from it focus on the small magical things that are working out
• releasing old titles and labels when they don't fit because we do so much more than just one thing, and being courageous about stepping into new titles

And we’re planting the seeds for a group retreat at some point… because what could be more magical than putting all our energy in the same room with you beautiful people? Stay tuned!

Beautiful friends, I am SO LIT UP to share this conversation with Brittany Estrada, and it makes complete sense that we connected so easily, because we’re both all about the sacral and the womb space. AND both of us are all about blending the scientific with the sacred and the divine!

Brittany is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner, a mom of three boys, a 5/1 Sacral Generator, and an Aries sun / Leo moon / Libra rising. And as she says, she’s here to help women understand how good it can feel to be in their bodies.

I love how Brittany brings bodywork and energy work into the functional medicine space and really embodies the concept of holistic healing. She calls herself a “mother hen” and it’s so true!

We get into soooo much in this episode, including:

• how Brittany bridges the area between scientific medicine and spiritual healing, and how she converts the spiritually skeptical in her practice
• her approach to healing when the word "womb" can feel triggering or out of alignment for some people
• why women tend to hold a lot of tension, shame, and trauma in the pelvis / sacral / lower chakras
• how to determine if sacral healing is what someone might need if they don't have specific fertility issues (spoiler! we all could probably use more sacral healing)

OK, I know you love the Car Caves episodes, and though I’m not in the car today, I’m giving you the same vibe: my real-time real talk about ways to actually live your design for lasting change.

Today, I’m covering one of the things I see from a lot of people who teach in the Human Design community: the tendency to overintellectualize and overcomplicate everything.

I get it. There’s so much to absorb in Human Design, but when you’re learning, it’s less helpful for your personal journey to memorize every single one of the 64 gates before you’ve had a chance to really get comfortable with the basics of strategy and authority.

So in this episode, I’m giving you easy ways to go back and connect with yourself if you're:

• hoarding information and trying to learn about every detail in your chart without experimenting daily with your type, strategy, and authority
• feeling like you have to nail every aspect of your design right away and be a "perfect" example of your energy type
• trying to learn your design with your mind instead of taking time to reconnect with your body and feel your body’s responses

Consider this my reminder to focus on progress over perfection and especially allowing yourself to be curious and take your time when it comes to learning your design.

Because that’s when the magic happens.

Welcome to the latest Back to Basics episode! This is a topic that I’ve never dug into here on the podcast, and it’s one you’ll definitely want to take notes on.

Today we’re covering Planets 101: how the planets work within Human Design and how they affect our design individually.

You can find the planets on your chart in the columns on each side of the bodygraph: They’re the vertical lines of astrological glyphs with numbers below each one.

This is where Human Design differs from astrology in that the right column of planets corresponds to your conscious mind, AKA your personality, but the left column relates to your body, or subconscious design.

And the numbers below each glyph represent the planet’s pairing with a specific gate on your bodygraph (the first number) as well as one of the six profile lines (the second number).

Each planet also has a specific theme or topic of focus, which you might already know from astrology. I’ll be diving into these one by one, and explaining how these themes can come through in your life depending on which planet corresponds with your gates.

Sound complicated? Don’t worry, boo, that’s why I’m here for you!

I’ll be giving you examples from my chart, and it will be worth it for you to have your own chart handy to follow along.
