You know that connecting the heart and the sacral is a big part of my work, and that I believe it’s key to opening ourselves up and strengthening our trust in Source, the Universe, etc.

That’s why I’m so happy to share this conversation with Akary Busto, a 1/3 Sacral Generator and Aquarius sun / Aquarius moon / Taurus rising. She calls herself an emotional biohacker who brings her knowledge of Human Design to the practice of nervous system regulation.

If you haven’t heard of HeartMath, it’s a practice that works to put your heart and brain on the same wavelength, so to speak.

HeartMath uses short meditation techniques to transform from reacting to responding, not searching for the chaos or the shadow of seeking emotional highs and lows to feel something.

Today we’re talking about how Akary completely changed her life with these techniques and now helps others manage their stress too, because as she says, “the strongest nervous system in the room is the one that wins."

We’re diving into:

• how breathwork helped Akary disconnect her brain from her body and find stillness when meditation wasn’t doing it for her
• how HearthMath disrupts the autopilot repetition of the brain and creates a new pathway

Welcome to another real-time download from me to you — and I hope you're ready for some rain ASMR during this one, because it's pouring here!

Today I wanted to share the mind-blowing experience from my time in Florida at the boat event I talked about a few weeks ago, which was hosted by one of my energetics mentors, Andrea Crowder.

All of us there met her boyfriend, Keith, who we've known through her work and what she’s shared about growing and healing into this strong relationship over the past few years.

At the event, she asked us to receive a hug from Keith at some point in the day so we could feel what a hug from a safe, supportive man felt like. And when Andrea said that, I felt a very iiiinteresting trigger.

I couldn't put a pin on it at first because I knew, I felt, it wasn't related to my past trauma and abuse, but I finally had a moment of clarity.

So I'm sharing:

• how I've been struggling to receive the energy of safety and love lately
• what happened when I shared this experience with Andrea and the on-the-spot RRT session she gave me
• how Andrea and the group helped me work through and recognize my feelings, guiding me to a place where I could receive safety and support for the first time in months
• how this relates to my core wound in Gate 2 and its receptive, feminine energy

Trust me when I say I wouldn't be talking to you right now, I wouldn't be sharing this story, I wouldn't even have the business I have without having support over the past few months.

So today I’m talking with my assistant who's been working with me for almost a year: Casey Barber, a 3/5 Emotional Manifesting Generator and Pisces sun / Capricorn moon / Gemini rising.

When I brought Casey on, it was the first time I've ever hired someone using Human Design as a major factor in my decision, and... I guess I'd say it's working out pretty well for both of us!

We’re getting into the energy dynamics of hiring and coming to it with a sense of openness to find the people who match with you. It’s really a co-creation thing!

Stuff like: 

• my initial hesitancy to hire based on Human Design (and why we don’t think it’s discriminatory to do that!), what I was looking for … and what might have been dealbreakers
• how Human Design can create the path to bring on someone who actually loves to do all the things you don't want to do 
• the energy of hiring based on trust vs. fear, and the energetic change that occurs when you feel safe enough to surrender parts of your business
• and why Casey is so obsessed with Notion as an organizational unicorn system to keep track of what we do together (and her entire life, TBH).

Anyone can go through burnout. (Duh!) But for someone who’s creating and growing (and STRUGGLING with) their own business, it can hit in different ways.

That’s why I’m so excited to have one of my former Revive Your Sacral students on the podcast: Dr. Ainsley Hendon, the owner of Hendon Family Chiropractic, a 2/5 Sacral Generator, and an Aries sun.

OK, I’m back with another real, unfiltered download for you! This one came in right after I lost power JUST as I was supposed to be recording a full podcast with video for you… so yeah. I hear you, Spirit!

(I LOVE that so many of you are responding to these off-the-cuff episodes, by the way!)

But, as always, this was perfect timing because today I felt called to talk about trusting in the void and in the magic dark.

As many of you know, I’ve really been going through it — feeling stagnant, like nothing's working. This void has felt heavier than ever, which is how I know something big is about to shift.

And it has! I’ve finally felt ready to create a business mastermind group, to open what I’ve learned over the years through my own experiences and share it with entrepreneurs who are going through it too.

So in this mini episode, I’m talking about WHAT DO WE DO when we’re in this space and finding that support to lean on. Because this is really fucking hard and you don’t have to do it alone!

• realizing that this void comes when you’ve hit a new level and now have to learn who you are in this new version of you

• letting go of your old patterns about successful businesses and money, and clearing out what you thought you knew to rebuild and reassemble
• using what’s in your toolbox — Human Design, gene keys, astrology — as the roadmap for who you were meant to be and where you are along that path right now
