Mandana Dayani, founder of the nonpartisan "I am a voter" movement, stops by Catt's bedroom and takes off a particularly meaningful piece of jewelry; her "voter" necklace. The "I am a voter" campaign is intended to encourage ALL people not only to vote, but become active, engaged participants in their communities.

But Mandana's come a long way, and in this interview, she shares what it was like to immigrate to the U.S. from Iran; how she underwent a career shift from law, to working with Rachel Zoe; and why she always wanted to be a congresswoman. She also discusses how having a daughter has impacted the way she views politics, and why, for the first time in her life, she has no plan for the future.

And, this week, Catt talks about her ongoing struggle to publish a book -- and why she needs to stop overthinking and start writing. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
