Y’all, we have SO much to talk about with The Bachelor AND Bachelor Winter Games.
But first, I want to thank everyone who came out to the book launch on Monday. I had a fabulous time meeting people and signing books! I apologize to those who were expecting a recap yesterday. I just couldn’t make it happen.
However, The Bachelor was playing at the party. It was a DOOZIE!
Some Guy in Austin and I start with the abysmal Bachelor Winter Games. Three words: Glitter Bomb Dud.
And let’s pretend Harrison’s beard isn’t a thing, Okay?
We also talk about Arie’s journey to find love and how he sends home one of his favorites, along with The Muppet Movie, and Lady and the Tramp.
The best part? Arie leaning Becca K up against that wall. S-W-O-O-N!

We are halfway through Bachelor Arie’s journey to find love and the only thing anyone cares about at this point is Krystal’s nodes and Baby Bekah’s marijuana farming job.
It was a full episode of various dates in Paris — the perfect place to fall in love. And the perfect place for the ABC censor guys to drop in all sorts of black modesty boxes. To these brave people, I say THANK YOU.
For those of you who live in or near Houston, come to my book launch happy hour on Monday, February 12! I’ll be there, and so will Some Guy in Austin. We’d love to meet you!

Baby Bekah has moved on from her nanny gig
We love the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, including “Lady Marmalade!”

Justin Timberlake’s new album dropped a few days ago and I’ve listened to it enough to make my opinion known. In a nutshell, I liked ‘Man of the Woods’ leaps and bounds better than Taylor’s ‘Reputation.’
My roommate, friend, landlord Lara and I discussed ‘Reputation’ back in Episode 24. You can listen to that one HERE. Lots of people had issues with our issues, but I stand firm. Let’s bring the old Taylor back.
And HERE is a link to ‘Man of the Woods.’ My advice? Listen to it multiple times. It grows on you.
Lara and I discuss how we were charmed by the ‘Man of the Woods’ video. I dare you not to smile when you watch it:
Another video I gush over is when Justin and Christ Stapleton sang at the CMAs. It’s a double whammy: ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ and ‘Drink You Away.’ BEHOLD!
And if you need to see that Super Bowl halftime show again, your wish is my command!

It’s week five and Arie has not yet found love. Dr. Tia found it, but he hasn’t quite yet. After sitting through a lot of Krystal, I’d say the episode circles around the topics of bowling, 21 Questions, and cannibalism. Some Guy in Austin and I spell it out for your here.
And now for some links!

Well, we finally know how Arie feels upon the revelation that Bekah is 22-years-old. Devastation. Horror. Heartbroken. Pain. The poor guy had to hold it together at dinner while tears pooled in his eyes as he did the mental math to come up with a fourteen year age difference. He likes her, but she’s not going to win. I don’t think Arie can do it.
We also discuss survival skills, how Seinne is slowing climbing the ranks, and KRYSTAAAAALLLLLLLL.
Oh! And if you haven’t heard yet, I wrote a book! And it comes out in TWO WEEKS! I’m so excited, very nervous, and would love for you to check it out. Read all about it HERE!
Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy the show!
It’s week 3 and Arie has taken the liberty of dumping one of the Laurens who was in my top five. My bracket is officially busted.
The only thing that can cheer me up is if you pre-order my book! It’s going to debut in three weeks and I couldn’t be more excited unless I was a GLOW lady from the ’80s who is making a comeback in 2018 thanks to reality television producers needing wacky stunts for winter ratings.
Some Guy in Austin and I have fun during this podcast. Thanks for listening and enjoy the show!
Arie is in week 2 of his journey to find love and I’m already frazzled by the changes ABC has made in our usual second episode agenda. Arie hosts TWO girls with their own one-on-one dates. He even flies to Scottsdale so his mom can meet her clone from 35 years ago.
WHAT IS GOING ON? A HOME TOWN DATE ALREADY? WHEN WILL THE MADNESS STOP?
If you’re interested in reading Arie’s episode two recap, you can find it HERE.
Some Guy in Austin and I are all over the map during this podcast. He confesses that he thought the Shay part of the Dan + Shay country duo was a girl. Nope. It’s a couple of dudes.
We also discuss the recent launch of the Bachelor Winter Games trailer. HELLO CANADA!
I’d love for you to subscribe on iTunes and give us a rating if you would be so kind.
And don’t hesitate to pre-order my book “Why I Hate Green Beans” before it’s debut. You will get the audiobook for FREE!

That’s just want you want, right? Several hours of my voice in your ears. Life couldn’t be better.
The past several days have been an emotional roller coaster. I had a death in the family, so the premiere of Janu-Arie took a back seat to spending time with loved ones. And I think you can hear it in the podcast. Thanks so much for listening and I promise I’ll do better next time!
If you’d like to read the recap, you can click HERE. Otherwise, get ready to sift through the hair extensions, boobs, and horrific icebreakers to help us predict who will land the coveted spot of Mrs. Bachelor Arie.
Spoiler: It’s not the girl who asked him to smell her pits.
I saw Pitch Perfect 3 and have lots of thoughts. Everyone knows I love a good girl group singing with only their mouths (thank you Chloe for that description) and my love for the franchise has been well documented on this website.
Here’s a link back in 2014 when I wrote about my love for the original and here’s a link to my movie review on the second installment. Where does Pitch Perfect 3 land in the lineup?
You’ll have to listen to find out!
I’m such an aca-tease.
My friend Todd, who talked about the winter movie preview on podcast 23, is back to discuss one of the films we were most looking forward to: Star Wars: Last Jedi.
That is a lot of punctuation in one sentence.
We have our likes, dislikes, and a whole lotta questions. So find your light saber, snuggle up to your porg, and listen as we try and figure out why Princess Leia was flying through space.
