Considering the idea of death has actually had quite an interesting impact on how we choose to live our lives. Why put off all the exciting things on your bucket list until the very end? That's the question.
Rather than just counting down the days, Heather & Larry learned to focus on the quality of their experiences. They want more days filled with laughter, love, and adventure, rather than just trying to get through tough times.
At the end of the day, they ponder what people will say about them when they're gone. It's a reminder to live with a smile, create lasting memories, and leave a positive impression on those they encounter.
Welcome back to the latest episode of I'm Still Here!

This week, Heather and Larry delve into the language surrounding cancer discussions. They highlight the potential harm caused by certain words and implications when used in relation to patients with cancer.
Labeling someone as having "lost" their battle can be incredibly hurtful. Instead, it is more meaningful to celebrate the life they lived. Being a "survivor" should not be the sole defining characteristic, as each person's journey is unique. Furthermore, not all individuals with breast cancer resonate with the symbolism of pink ribbons or identify with specific groups.
While many people use these terms with good intentions, they may not fully grasp the impact their words can have.
Tune in to hear what words could be more helpful.

During their vacation, Heather and Larry faced an unexpected and devastating event: the sudden passing of Larry's father. Thousands of miles away from their family, they recount the emotional experience of receiving this news and the challenges they faced. After attending the funeral, they realized the importance of accepting life's hardships and adapting to them. In these trying times, they discovered that the best approach is to roll with the punches, embracing resilience and finding strength amidst mental exhaustion.
