We are programmed to qualify people based on their experience, and that is a mistake. Instead, we should be qualifying their character. That is what George Randle, Managing Partner at Talent War Group and author of the best-selling book The Talent War, tells us in our conversation of talent and leadership for law firms.
Our conversation explores why investing in your team is the one investment that will yield the highest ROI for your law firm, and explains why you should start paying more attention not only to whom you are hiring but whom is hiring them and what legacy you are building; Are you working your way out of a job?
In a world where we are all fighting the war on talent every day, it should come as no surprise that those who understand its art are winning.

One battle that Facebook has been unable to win is convincing users that their data tracking practices help businesses or users alike. It should come as no surprise since both Facebook and companies have been abusing this unrestricted access to user data to the point of alienating users away from the platform and turning against advertisers.
With the arrival of iOS 14.5, Apple is handing back users control over their privacy, up to a certain extent. Users get to decide if they want Facebook to track them outside of their platform in other apps, and if you want to find out what the opt-in rates have been amongst iPhone users since tune in, you probably won't be surprised.
While the impact of iOS 14.5 is limited to Apple users, its rollout is initiating an era that users are speaking out and putting privacy ahead of convenience. However, the question that is yet to be answered for how long will it last? Join our conversation as we explore how to navigate law firms' Facebook advertising under the new fourteen-point five-era.

From the newcomers to the oldtimers, the unexpected to the surprising, this conversation looks at the things that stood out but most importantly about how it felt to be back to somewhere that feels more familiar than the pandemic lives we have been living this past 14 months.

One of the main reasons law firms don't leverage automation to save time, resources and reduce errors is that they think automation is too complex, and they are not wrong. It can be.
In this week's conversation, we explore some of the least known software solutions that law firms could leverage to increase their team's productivity and save money along the way.
We talk about auto dialers, voicemail drops, affiliate marketing solutions, and email processors. Plus, we discuss the recent ruling of Michigan's court on a law firm's fake Google review allegation and what you can do not to have to worry about this kind of situation.
Warning: By the end of this episode, you may want to automate everything in your operations, even the things that should be handled in a more traditional way. Could you say we didn't warn you?

In this week’s conversation, we review which mass torts have captured our attention in 2021 and which old ones continue to remain relevant and gain even more interest.
While RoundUp, Talcum Poder, and Hernia Mesh are not showing any signs of going away anytime soon, other mass torts have come and gone without having made much of an impact, and in our conversation, we review which ones are those.
Our conversation explores which mass torts are likely to become the next big thing and are still at a very early stage. So if you have been waiting to be ahead of the curve in identifying mass tort opportunities before anyone else, join us!

If you are like most lawyers, the referrals you get from clients or people in your network are critical to your law firm’s growth strategy, maybe your primary source of new cases. But have you ever stopped to think if you are doing enough to nurture the sources from where your referrals come from or plant seeds to create new ones?
Stacey Brown Randall joins us for a conversation that demystifies the complexities behind referral generation and explains why referrals are earned and only available from certain sources. Instead of blaming yourself for not getting reviews from every client you represent, you should focus on those who are sending business your way.
If you value referrals and are looking at ways to improve your referral generation strategy and stop putting yourself in the uncomfortable position of asking for them, this conversation is for you.

Most lawyers can agree that one of the most threatening emails ever to hit their inbox is announcing a new one (1) star review for their law firm. And while it is a horrible situation to be, now more than ever, there are multiple ways to handle the situation to turn around things.
Our conversation explores the recent updates Google My Business has introduced in an attempt to improve and expedite the handling of fraudulent or inappropriate reviews registered in your Google My Business account. So whether it’s a disgruntled competitor trying to stain your reputation or an unreasonable client abusing your GMB profile, Google is now offering you a way out.
But when the one-star review is from a real customer, where did things fell through the cracks? We explore how dealing with negative reviews can give your law firm a platform to show prospective clients how you over-correct things in the unlikely event that an event doesn’t go as planned.
