255: “But colliding shores with something beyond the self is a relief. And it's made me a lot freer in my expression, in the way I move through life, the way I show up, the way I do the work that I do because if everything is about how I come across and who's going to perceive the work in this way and it's a constant measure of the self and that's exhausting and we're missing the point.” - Amanda Norgaard
For free spirits craving authenticity and creative expression, this episode with Amanda—a Kundalini Yoga teacher, writer, poet, and Creative Mentor who defies convention—is for you. Dive in as she unpacks her journey of breaking free from rigid spiritual norms, embracing her true self, and building a soulful business on her own terms.

If you’re drawn to the idea of blending authenticity with spiritual exploration, redefining community, and embracing every facet of your journey unapologetically, Amanda’s insights offer an inspiring lens on living a life that’s deeply rooted in personal truth and raw self-expression. Snippets to catch this episode:

250: What if your business was run like a juicy red strawberry stand, only in season in the summer? And the rest of the year was focused on planting the seeds, watering them, and nurturing them with enough sunlight to burst out of the ground? This is the beauty of seasonal working - or what I’m coining as wavy marketing.
In this solo ep, I break down the components of wavy marketing, explaining how it allows for periods of high and low activity that align with personal energy levels and life’s curveballs. This style of running my biz and marketing has allowed me to maintain a thriving business while prioritizing travel, relationships, and personal growth. If you're an entrepreneur or content creator seeking a more flexible and intuitive way to approach your marketing efforts, this episode is for you!
Snippets:
• ‘I believe I've personally confused consistency with frequency. I think I've also confused it with being prolific.’
• ‘I consider what I do very wavy. So here's what I mean. Wavy marketing is essentially seasonal marketing. I like to work in seasonal cycles versus always on.’
• ‘Why am I going to force myself to do these things that I don't like, just to say that I'm quote unquote marketing? I don't think that's good marketing if you don't like doing it. If your energy is being depleted and you hate doing it, and you're like, this f***ing sucks, I think people feel that energy.’
• ‘Make a quadrant on a piece of paper and on the top left, write what I love and what I'm good at. On the right, write what I love and I'm bad at. On the bottom left, write what I hate and I'm good at. And what I hate and I'm bad at. Now, once you list all those things out, decipher where to put your energy, and the hate sections, the bottom, that should either be automated, delegated, or deleted.’

247: Ever thought about pitching your “this is going to shatter the glass ceiling” idea to a big tech company, inviting that cutie on Bumble out for mini golf, or asking for a raise at the job you’ve been at for 7+ years and DEFINITELY deserve one… but the idea of rejection made you wince? Same.
But I’m alive. Rejection didn’t kill me. So I’m here to tell the tale of how I cope with rejection professionally and walk you through several celeb stories - and how we wouldn’t be able to experience their genre-changing art or mind-bending music or industry-leading apps if they let rejection deter them.
You’ll hear stories about Britney Spears, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Queen, the founder of Calendly, Tope Awotona, and myself, and how rejection only became fuel to lead us to success.
I also challenge you to reflect on your own experiences with rejection and how they've shaped your path. Remember, sometimes rejection is just redirection to something even better. Corny but true!
If you found value in this episode, please share it with a friend or leave a comment on Spotify. I'd love to hear your stories of rejection and what came after—you can DM me on Instagram @chelseariffe or email me at [email protected].
