Welcome back to this week’s episode of In My Truth.
I’m so happy to be back recording again!
Just yesterday I recorded my episode with Zoe which was amazing (you can listen here: https://www.sarahriegelhuth.com/podcast-episodes/zoe-winther) that hopefully provided a bit of content on why the show went missing for a few months.
And today, our guest is the man I was talking about in that episode!
Luckily you can’t see me, because I’m probably a little bit red sitting here with the amazing man, Joe Hawley!
We’ve known each other for over a year through the Aubrey Marcus Fit For Service Fellowship (https://www.aubreymarcus.com/pages/fit-for-service-fellowship), but we never really connected until a plant medicine retreat in Minnesota.
We both ended up in Austin when self-quarantining measures started taking place and decided to isolate together.
I’m feeling blessed to have this time with Joe and his dog, Freedom, but let’s get into Joe’s story:
He grew up in Orange County, California, went to school at UNLV in Las Vegas, played football and got drafted in 2010 by the Atlanta Falcons. He’s lived out his childhood dream, spending 8 years in the NFL, but started to find his heart pulling him in a different direction.
In this conversation with Joe, we get deep into the identity crisis that comes with career and life transitions, plant medicine, and inner work during isolation.
    Let’s dive in.
    -
“You can feel when someone loves you. I can feel the way you’re looking at me right now!”
    -
Join your host Sarah Riegelhuth as she’s joined by Joe Hawley in this episode of In My Truth, as they dive into the collective slow down, sharing things publicly for the first time, resistance and receiving ‘the call’.

“You just need the courage to look in the mirror and ask the questions."
    -
Listen in to the In My Truth podcast as Sarah Riegelhuth and Joe Hawley get deep into the stories around leaving football, psychedelics and modalities for healing.
    -
“That onion of self work is infinite.”
Joe and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
    ayahuasca ceremonies
    intentional mushroom ceremonies
    triggers
how we relate to the world
    our relationships with our parents
growing up in a Christian household
    spirituality
    universal truths, laws and rules
    open conversations
    the infinite
    religion
    unwinding our belief systems
    the power of the mind
pushing the limits of what’s possible
    raising vibrations
    when psychedelic trips turn negative
    good and bad trips
    fear of sharing
    gratitude
    compassion
    reconnecting with our childhoods
    unconditional love
    breath work
“I broke myself to pieces and then I found myself again on the journey.”

Welcome everyone back to this week’s episode of In My Truth.
It has been quite a while between releasing episodes, although I’ve just released a flood of backdated content! It has been a while since I’ve recorded, so it’s really nice to be back on air AND I have the reason why we haven’t been on air with me as our guest today!
My dear friend Zoe Winther and I thought it would be a fun way to get started again. Zoe is the editor and producer of this podcast, and in this episode we’re going to dive in to where she’s been and her truth behind why we put pause on In My Truth.
Zoe Winther is the podcast’s biggest fan, listening to every podcast at least three times during the edit and show notes process. It has been an important step in her personal journey, and the themes it has brought into her life.
Along with being a podcast producer, Zoe is the founder of Pickford Media and a talented writer - although it still feels unnatural for her to introduce herself to the world without the business context.
In fact, one of Zoe’s poems resonated with me so strongly I shared it with my audience last year, and we’ll share it again now:
    -
I wish that I could stay in this box for you.
    And I promise I would
even though it’s the wrong shape for me and
I have to break my bones
    and rearrange my organs
    just to fit.
    I would stay here
    and wait for you
and, like all the boys that have come and gone before,
    I would set myself alight
    just to keep you warm.
I would set these broken parts to
    mend in misdirections.
I would live in ashes, bent backwards,
    facing the wrong way,
if I knew that every moment could be like the first ones.
If you could acknowledge how misshapen I’d become
and how much pain I lived in
    by being with you.
    If knowing my discomfort
you might carry around the box I lived in
and gingerly guard me from the world around.
And being too scared to rip the box hinge from hinge
for fear of what I might be when I stretched my limbs again,
    you could at least recognise
who I could be, even deformed.
For I know you might not be strong enough
    to splinter your own hands
    prying it open, but
if you could just open the lid every now and then,
or puncture a window to let in the sun,
    I would stay here.
Wishing this box was my shape.

Welcome fam to this week’s episode of In My Truth.
Well, actually, it’s pretty funny because I think I always say welcome to this week’s episode but at the time of recording this episode, I had a backlog of about 14 episodes that need to be edited and released - but we’ll get into that next week. Stay tuned!
So, welcome to this week’s episode!
I have my friend Kelly Campbell with me today. We were introduced through a friend and client of mine, and by the time we finally got in touch we couldn’t even remember why we were meeting! We starting talking about business and a referral program of Kelly’s, and then we connected on Instagram and realised there was a LOT more to talk about.
Kelly is an agency transformation coach, working mostly with leaders to help them figure out how to find their purpose and discover a little bit more fulfilment in their work and their lives. Prior to this Kelly ran a digital marketing agency for non-profits before selling it in 2016, what she refers to as ‘the beginning of the beginning.’
These big moments in our life can transform us, thereby transforming the work we want to do and the way we show up in the world. In my journey of selling my financial planning company and finishing the financial planner chapter of my life, there was a level of ego death and saying goodbye to something I had attached my identity to. But it also led to rebirth.
I’m excited to dive in to this conversation with Kelly Campbell and find out where the beginning of the beginning has taken her.

“The last interaction I had with her… I got her to the point where she was agreeing to go to see a professional with me, and then a couple of days before the first appointment she called and said, Yeah, I’m not going to be able to make it. And I said, You’re not going to be able to make it for the appointment, or you’re not going to be able to make it ever? And before you answer that, you understand what the difference is?”
    -
Kelly and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
    scales of justice
    identity
    work/life balance
    polarities
reforming a friendship with an ex
    integration
femininity and the portrayal of femininity by our mothers
    dishonesty and honesty

  • All the places our intuition has taken us with Hallie Rose
“My intuition was saying, Yeah, you were born for this. And my logical brain was saying, People won’t listen to you, what do you have to say? And then my soul: I have a lot to say. Trust it, trust it.” DISCLAIMER: WHAT WE TALK ABOUT ON IN MY TRUTH TENDS TO BE VERY RAW AND CAN BE TRIGGERING. “My days of being a doormat are done. They’re done.”
Welcome everyone to this episode of In My Truth!
I recorded this episode of the podcast in Costa Rica with my gorgeous friend Hallie Rose. I’d just finished up a week-long ayahuasca retreat at Soltara, which is always an amazing and transformative experience for me. (You can read the whole series of my first experience at Soltara here.)
But on this beautiful warm day, the birds were chirping and I was sitting with my beautiful friend Hallie.
Hallie Rose is doing a three-month volunteer position at Soltara, helping out with social media and recording her own podcast - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mSKYmBl-Cw (you can find the episode with me here.)
She’s been on a journey of healing herself through other people’s stories, just like we are all doing on this journey with the In My Truth podcast, which was also born after an ayahuasca experience. Hallie is spreading the messages of other people’s stories, and in the process being a sponge of healing, learning and growing.
The work is constant and it never ends, so what is Hallie Rose wrangling with at the moment?
Thematically over 2019, Hallie was faced with a variety of opportunities to show up for herself and work on her intuition, but it is still something she struggles with.
    Let’s dive in.
“What is my intuition and what is my fear? How do I delineate between that inner knowing and my ego holding me back?”
Join your host Sarah Riegelhuth as she’s joined by Hallie Rose in this episode of In My Truth, as they dive into working out where their gifts are, storytelling, resistance to the limelight, and developing trust.
“It’s kind of like being a little piece on a board game, and you’re being moved along. And then ayahuasca came into my life and it’s like someone plucked that piece off the board and says, ‘Do you realise you were on a board? Do you realise you were part of a game?’ while holding it loftily above the board. And the perspective that comes with that is so immense it’s almost crippling.” -
Listen in to the In My Truth podcast as Sarah Riegelhuth and Hallie Rose get deep into the stories around creating a podcast, exploring healing with ayahuasca, and being told they’re acting selfishly.
“If I can just have trust that he did what he needed to do in his lifetime and that gifted to me what I need to do in my lifetime, then that helps me put something even as difficult as death into perspective.”
Since sharing more of their stories, Sarah and Hallie have opened the doors on more and more beautiful stories and conversations that have been incredibly healing. The conversations that happen behind closed doors can be so beneficial for others to hear.
Where could you be sharing more in order to help others heal and grow?
Hallie and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
    the yearning of our souls
    being a storyteller
    being seen
    the logical brain
staying in a place of trust
    allowing emotion
    owning our own stuff
    turning inward
    calling medicine into our lives
    peace
    abandonment wounding
    soul contracts and gratitude
    ayahuasca love bubbles
    spiritual bypassing
    asserting boundaries
    putting our needs above others’
    projecting onto our partner
    feeling it out
    addiction to being busy
    forgiving ourselves
    consciously uncoupling
    our friendships
    attachment styles
    taking space in a relationship

“I’m always waiting for something to happen versus taking control of it and owning it.”
    -
Welcome everyone to this episode of In My Truth!
I have my friend Katrina Lacsam on the show today, who I met through my best mate from the time I was about 13 years old, Liam Gordon.
Katrina and I met last year when I was visiting Liam in Chicago, and we had a nice evening out despite my dengue fever! Like all of my podcast guests, Katrina and I were drawn back to each other after this brief meeting, and I’m so excited to talk to her today about her truth.
We recorded this episode of In My Truth on New Year’s Eve, a symbolic turning point for many of us and a poignant time for this conversation with Katrina Lacsam. While in the past Katrina was typically working on NYE, this year it feels more material, reflective and thankful.
So, on this day so emblematic of turning over a new leaf, let’s dive in to what Katrina is wrangling with.

    -
Like many of us, Sarah and Katrina are still dealing with getting to the core of issues in order to release them and stop repeating them.
How are you getting to the core of repeating problems in your life?
Katrina and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
    safety nets
    inspiration
    being wavy vs being grounded
getting clear on what we want
    starting to date again
    our behaviour and our goals
    patterns and triggers
    directness in dating
    being called a pushover
    altruism
    maintaining many friendships
    exploring monogamy
    intentional friendships
    expectations and pressures
    setting boundaries with people
    being in alignment
    feeling trapped
    shifting our relationship with alcohol

  • What happens when we lose our twin flame? with Sam Kabert AKA SwagSam
“I’ve had this eternal feeling of loneliness, and when I talk to people about it I have to explain, No, I’m not talking about not settling down in this life time, I’m talking about eternal! I’m not worried about this life, I’m worried about after this life.”

Welcome everyone to this episode of In My Truth!
I have my friend Sam Kabert on with me today and I’m very excited to dive in to what he is currently wrangling with.
Sam and I were introduced through a mutual friend and client of mine in Grow My Team. We’ve been trying to connect for a while and over a few different continents, but we’re finally sitting down today to dive in to this episode of In My Truth.
Sam Kabert has a personal brand SwagSam and has been heavily in the content game: he’s had nine podcasts over the last three years, written three books in a year and created a few Youtube shows. He’s been grinding, and despite making it into the 40 Under 40 list, he had a depression that culminated in a breakup with his twin flame.
Since then, Sam has spiralled into spirituality through ayahuasca ceremony and is now working on what he calls ‘soul life balance’ to create a new normal.
There’s a lot of ground to cover, so let’s dive in.

“It was October 2016 when I said I really wanted to love myself because I realised that I didn’t, and it’s three and a bit years later and I can say I don’t 100 percent love myself, yet. I think I’m pretty close, I keep having these times where I think I’m here and then I find myself in self-loathing again. It’s such a journey. I had no idea what a journey I would be embarking on.”

Like many of us, Sarah and Sam are still dealing with the loss of significant romantic relationships. The healing journey is long and has many ups and downs.
Have you lost a twin flame? What does the healing journey look like for you?
Sam and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
    break ups
how breakups can bring out what we need to heal
    starting to date again
    ayahuasca ceremonies
gratitude for the opportunity to learn
    acceptance
    loneliness
attracting conscious people into our lives
    old behavioural patterns coming up
opening up our vulnerabilities with our partners
    Akashic records ceremony
    past life regression
how our childhood wounds manifest in our adult lives
    alcohol-fuelled shadow behaviour
our online presence and hiding relationships from the internet
    loving ourselves
trusting the process of the universe
    conscious fear
    letting go
    making friends with darkness
    depression
    curiosity and not knowing

“Some days I’m loving myself and I’m on fire, it’s like a tall peak. And the next day I am in the biggest pit and I wasted all of that positive energy. But I love those highs. People are like, Oh you just need to find the happy medium, and I’m like, No, those highs are great! I don’t want to give up that high! Can I just not be in that pit after the high? And that’s where I’m trying to find the balance with self love.”

  • Avoidance techniques and our negative relationship patterns with Conner Moore
“What I find so fascinating about life in general is how you think you can have something sorted out, but it just gets trickier and trickier. It’s a sneaky little motherf*cker!”

Welcome everyone to this episode of In My Truth!
I’m very excited to have a guest on today’s show who I met through a bunch of mutual friends on Instagram. He is Conner Moore, and just prior to recording this episode, we’d spent four days together with the Fit For Service crew and Aubrey Marcus in Malibu, and here we are on In My Truth, back home, full of downloads and excited to see what comes up today.
Conner is the host of The Realness podcast and a retreat facilitator at Soltara in Costa Rica. He enjoys helping people understand themselves a little bit better and at the end of the day take life a little bit less seriously.
Conner is currently moving through avoidance and the manifestation of avoidance in his life, and in this conversation we get both deep AND get distracted as we conveniently avoid the untruths we’re wrangling.
Take a deep breath, we're diving into everything we’re avoiding!

Join your host Sarah Riegelhuth as she’s joined by Conner Moore in this episode of In My Truth, as they dive into all the ways they push against their personal development journeys: through avoidance techniques, blowing things up with partners, and falling into destructive patterns.
    -
“I feel like one of the first things she ever taught me was how to be disappointed.”
    -
Listen in to the In My Truth podcast as Sarah Riegelhuth and Conner Moore get deep into the tough stuff around being in relationships, whether they’re long-term and committed, just starting out, or we’re well on our way to non-monogamy.
    -
“I will spiral into crying, I’m in the middle of an argument with a partner, and the feeling I get is I miss my dad, I want my dad.”
Like many of us, Sarah and Conner are still working through their own personal healing journeys in order to have better romantic relationships, more conscious sex, and to call in conscious community.
Where are you in your healing journey and how does it relate to other parts of your life?
Conner and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
    avoidance
    journaling
    personal development journey
    low-hanging fruit
    integration
having a parent who is an addict
    starting to date again
    patterns of relationship
    fixing people
    never being alone
the righteousness of being the conscious one in a relationship
    calling conscious community
    fear refuges
    reacting to fear unconsciously
the masks we wear to protect us from what we’re most afraid of
    spiritual bypassing
    reverting back to childlike emotions
    resenting ourselves
    conscious sex
    scarcity mindset
    the need for validation
    abandonment
    feeling trapped
our feelings compared to our realities
love and having to do the work
keeping excitement and novelty in relationships
    different experiences of non-monogamy
“I’m saying that I want to attract all of these conscious people into my life, and all of a sudden I realise that when I’m faced with all of these people who are, I don’t get to be the conscious one. And my ego is like, But… who are you if you’re not that person?”

  • Manifestation, intuition, purpose... and having no money left and no idea what's next with Lucie Dawson

Welcome everyone to this episode of In My Truth!
Today I have a superstar friend from Fit For Service joining us from her spot in the sun in Mexico: Lucie Dawson. Somewhat different to where I recorded this episode in Colorado!
Lucie is originally from England and has spent the majority of her adult traveling and working as a private chef. She’s spent the last ten years living in Byron Bay, and the last couple of years have seen a topsy-turvy turnaround in her life.
Something just didn’t feel right, so Lucie packed up her bags and followed her intuition, jumping back into her traveler lifestyle.
We recorded this episode on Lucie’s very last day in Mexico after manifesting her dream of getting to live and work there. A lot was coming up for her.
    So, shall we dive in?

Join your host Sarah Riegelhuth as she’s joined by Lucie Dawson in this episode of In My Truth, as they dive into intuition, manifestation, our paths of purpose… and having no money left and no idea what’s next.

“We’re living in this amazing paradise also known as reality, and it’s a participatory environment. You have to be open to everything that’s happening around you and you have to acknowledge all of these tiny little subtle signs, and the more that you start to notice them, the more you start to conscious of them, the more they start to notice you back.”
    -
Lucie and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
    manifesting
    aligning with our truth
    red flags and intuition
    synchronicities and pushing forward
    perceiving worth through productivity
    veering off course
    running out of money
    starting a business
not knowing what is coming next
    raising capital
    being confronted by self-doubt
    gratitude
    non-monogamy and unconventional paths
    compartmentalising
“Money is such an energetic thing. There’s so much around it to figure through and it’s so representative of so many things in our lives.”

Remember you’re not alone, and there is hope, even though it may not feel that way at times. Talk to someone, a friend or family member and let them support you. Reach out to a professional. Do whatever you need to do to start your journey back to feeling good.
