Here’s the thing about parenting—you have to do the hard stuff. You can’t just throw out threats; you have to follow through. In this repeat episode Nat had to put her foot down because the disrespect from one of her kids was out of control. She knew she was making the right call, but at the end of the day, someone loses out. Sometimes, you have to tell your kids, I don’t want to do this either. This is hard for me too. But if I don’t show you there are consequences, how will you ever learn? Nobody likes the consequences, but it’s all about short-term pain for long-term gain.
