Be present; be fully present in the moment but showing up like you mean it. 

Be patient; “Hold on loosely” and that means take action gently leaning into trusting the process. When you grip so tight to your goals you repel them. 

Practice; you need to take action to reach the results you want. Your results don’t appear all of a sudden.

Have a purpose. Have a strong ‘why’ that will keep you going and reflecting on your experiences. 

Prepare yourself. Build habits and believe every word you pronounce.

Gregory David Roberts is an artist, composer and author. He is best known for his captivating best-seller Shantaram.

Roberts was a drug addict that turned to crime and ended up in jail. He escaped and went to India but ten years later was found and extradited to Australia where he served a further six years in prison, two of which were spent in solitary confinement. 

Gregory wrote The Spiritual Path with spiritual matters that his younger self wanted desperately. It is about his arduous path to self and spiritual realization. Succeeding every experience, he would write down notes in his journal. After six years of meticulous devotion those notes were shaped into this book that takes people on his journey of a leap of faith.

Spirituality takes a three step process: acknowledgement, surrender and devotion. 

Acknowledgement means acknowledging the existence of the divine to have free will. 

Surrender means surrendering the “unrequired” elements within your ego that are not required to go into a devotional state; putting them close to the margins and taking the essential parts which are humility, honesty, sincerity and authenticity. 

Devotion is finding a way to give something to the divine in a physical way rather than constantly asking for something from it.

Gregory believes it is an ongoing process. Once you have got clear with who you are and accept responsibility for what you have done, you must begin to tidy up your relationship with others.

Gregory started creating a devotion to himself because of a two year solitary confinement. Those years were a gift to see himself and see where he was going. He looked at his past and realized that pain had been a beast of his own creation. If he wanted to change, he had to acknowledge it and take responsibility. It was the only way to take responsibility for the future.

With just one small act of kindness we can make this world a much better place! In this episode David and Amrit dive deep into the importance of being kind to become the best version of ourselves as well as better humans, and all the amazing benefits of kindness.

David R. Hamilton, PhD is a kindness scientist, columnist, speaker and author of eleven books, including his latest bestseller, 'The Five Side Effects of Kindness'.

After completing his PhD in organic chemistry, he worked in R&D in the pharmaceutical industry, developing drugs for cardiovascular disease and cancer. Inspired by the placebo effect, he left the industry to write books and educate people on how they can harness their mind and emotions to improve their mental and physical health.

We all have kindness genes and they are some of the oldest genes in the human genome. We're genetically wired to love and compassion but we are also wired to self preservation. Our nervous system perceives challenges as threats to our survival. So we end up covering our kindness because we feel we need to survive.

“You can be presenting clouds and storm fronts but when you pull through them, there is always sunshine”

The skill is to recognize the sunshine underneath any kind of challenge. Change requires a conscious effort to recognize the way you behave and how you have to behave instead. Slowing down and becoming aware of yourself is the first step to change. And then having an interaction with your body’s kindness hormones. Kindness opportunities bring out the best version of yourself.

In every act of kindness, you must include yourself and recognize that this moment of exchange is vital for the evolution and the present moment of both parts.

Kindness has tons of beneficial effects but you can't have them unless you are genuine and mean what you do. It impacts physical and mental health, and not only makes us happier but is also protective for our mental health against challenges that occur in life.

Acts of kindness affect our brain chemistry producing more “happiness hormones” which facilitate happier experiences. Acts of kindness cause physical changes in the brain structure known as neural plasticity. This allows us to extract happiness from everyday life easier. 

The physiological effects of kindness and stress are due to the way you feel. Kindness generates the opposite effects of stress. When kindness hormones go up, stress hormones go down.

Life is a kidding game that should be played. If you play, things will happen along the way. And when you see that things do happen you will want to take the next step. 

Having a vision that inspires you and magnetizes you, pulls you forward but things change when your visions get too far. You can deal with these challenges by feeling a higher power communicating with you saying “why not?”

The more tangible you make your visualizations, the more you feel and quicker you get there. Love frequency is key! It is the natural fuel for manifesting. Having this frequency of unconditional love you become a magnet to the dreams and the visions that are in your mind.

Have a really clear “why” behind why you are doing it and then also tune into the identity of who is actually calling that in. Team them together to manifest what you want on an internal celular desire.

In this episode, Julie Morin, Tim Van Driessche and Amrit have a touching conversation about Julie's incredible recovery from spending 4 years in a wheelchair to walk again.

Listen as they talk about how Julie tragically ended up in a wheelchair, how tapping into her body’s self-healing power helped her heal, how important it is to have someone that believes in you in such challenging moments and the last piece missing to make a full recovery.

They converse about Envol, an app born from Julie’s healing journey; how they created it, what the word “Envol” means and their aspirations for the app.

Finally, both Tim and Julie share how they feel about the whole journey and the path they are on now to support others and live life with passion.

Julie Morin is an artist, meditation writer and health enthusiast. She and her life partner Tim are the co-founders of Envol.

Julie’s challenging story began at the age of 25 lying on a yoga mat. All of a sudden she was struck with pain in both legs and couldn't move them, leaving her unable to walk and in a wheelchair for 4 years.

She was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and doctors would say it was all in her head. She did therapy but that didn't help. She continued searching for a treatment and went to Belgium. This time they diagnosed her with chronic Lyme disease and started her on an antibiotic treatment making things worse.

After years of medical misdiagnosis, in 2018 Julie made the choice to stop chemical treatment and take control to let her body heal naturally. She changed her victim mentality to an empowered one, and that simple shift in her mindset was enough to start feeling better.

Through a lot of research, Julie and Tim discovered that Julie’s body would heal by sleeping well, doing meditation, eating healthy food and grounding. Soon after doing all of this, things slowly got better and her healing journey began.

Recently, following a follow-up Lyme consultation with a naturopath, she finally had the answer she had been looking for: she discovered that she never had Lyme disease but fluoroquinolone poisoning from ciprofloxacin she had taken in 2015. This was the piece missing for a complete recovery. She would fear no more about the paralisis coming back.

Tim and Julie were able to let go of that sick identity and become a couple again. They strongly believe now in the power of the body to heal itself naturally and that has changed their life completely. They are grateful, appreciate the beauty in simplicity and have created an app to help those who are facing similar situations. It's a healing tool that empowers people to awaken their body's self-healing powers. There is a lot you can do to improve your health that is accessible, free and simple. Let those actions become habits and your life will change.

Julie was resilient and this helped her face all the challenges. But above all, she says it is thanks to Tim’s unconditional love, support and faith in her the whole time. She believes that in tough moments it is crucial to have one that believes in you; it is the pillar for a healing journey.

Kelly-Marie and Amrit dive deep into Kelly-Marie's work that explores and reveals the parallels between Scripture and science.

She experienced clarity doing Daniel Fasting and felt vibrations down her spine. She saw flashing images of a black and white explanatory video on youtube, four animals from the book of Ezekiel and blue oil that took her to a deeper understanding of Kundalini energy.  

Although Kelly felt love, gratitude and understood what she was seeing, she couldn’t figure out why this was happening. Afraid that no one would believe her, she continued to pursue her path anonymously, digging deeper into prayer, christian yoga and reading the bible. 

In this episode, Kelly shares with us how she learned about the Sacred Secretion and how it helped her connect the dots and realize that she had been guided all the time while seeking her divine purpose. 

The Sacred Secretion, or Christ Oil, travels through our spinal cord into the Pineal gland, causing us to see God face to face and be enlightened. 

When you seek what is authentic to you, you start to become a good receiver of what you are looking for. Once you are a receiver, you can tap into whatever you are looking for at any given time. 

Kelly’s journey wasn’t easy. Her sincerity and light had to fit in her real world and it didn't add up with people in her life. She discovered secrets, not just on a personal level but with the world around her. Kelly believes you have to find a balance between light and shadow. The way to deal with it is denying what doesn’t reconcile with what you are calling in on a vibratory level.

Marc was the co-founder of the journaling app KYO that reached 86.9 million people and he has studied mental fitness practices for over a decade.

Marc experienced the challenging situation of having to delete his app because the business model didn’t work. A mental fitness app that combined curated content with guided self-reflection.

He asked himself questions that were dragging him deeper into the whole until he came across amazing people on his podcast that were asking very different questions. This helped him make a pause and reframe things out. 

He stumbled on the idea of asking himself ONE question: “What do I want for my life?” That question unlocked a new path of hope and led to many more questions. He launched the Socratic Method and soon after his book.

A simple non negotiable method of asking questions at the right time. First, ask questions so you can get clear. Secondly, ask questions to help you be more intentional with your activities, habits, thoughts, or how you react. By doing these two, the third happens naturally, which is the expansion of possibility.
