Talking Toddler’s host, Erin Hyer, shares why she is starting her podcast now… April 2022.

If you're a new mom of a young toddler or preschooler and feeling a bit overwhelmed, uncertain, or perhaps looking for confirmation on how well your beautiful toddler is really doing - maybe questioning the “wait and see” recommendation by your pediatrician, or feeling a bit guilty for sheltering him during these unprecedented times, Erin wants you to STOP.

Because of her 35 years of clinical practice - on the floor, working with a variety of families, consulting with preschools, training teachers and new graduate students, diving deep into the science, asking questions - she refuses to get sucked into the overwhelming acceptance of “new normals” - skyrocketing numbers of late talkers, non-verbal preschoolers, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, poor sleep, picky eating, lack of self-regulation, and the list goes on.

Erin’s experience has given her opportunities to be part of those who continually question this “fixed” mindset - those who’s very nature is to “think outside the box,” to peel back the layers, ask WHY, and find solutions.
