Welcome to the September series, Empowering YOU. Todays episode will be all about understanding self-worth. What a good reminder it was for me today. The last three days have been challenging for me personally. So tapping back into this energy and reminding myself (and YOU), that we are worthy simply because we are, was a great way to pull myself out of the crap energy I've been in the last few days! During this episode, I explain a little about what has had me in my feels and how I personally pull myself out of a slump.
Listen, what's crazy is that we are told to push through the hard days with a smile on our face, no one wants to hear about our issues, no one wants to be around someone who is "goin through it". So a lot of us, myself included, got into the habit of shoving our feelings down and not giving ourselves the space and time for healthy reflections and feeling our feelings.
I noticed that I had let that old habit creep back in. Which is why I decided to take the last two days to really work through how I was feeling and let my body rest. I am finally coming out of the other side and feel a lot better already just from getting caught up on sleep (mentally and physically exhausted) and meditating/ journaling.
Sometimes we get in our heads and think that we are not worthy during these times we feel low. Like, we aren't where we want to be in life, so how dare us take time to reflect, rest and recover. Let this be a reminder that you are. It doesn't matter where you are in life or what you have to get done. Your mental health is most important and you can not pour from an empty cup. So take care of you. Love you and know that you are worthy of everything you desire, and it is coming in divine timing. As long as you never give up, it is ok to have a rest day.
Consistency will get you anywhere you want to go.
