Journey Church

Pastor Jamie George - Jesus Christ is at the center of all we believe. And it seems that at the center of His belief is this message: God loves Humanity and humanity has been invited to actively participate in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Pastors Jamie George and Kevin Dixon - We are never dealing with certainty, but only with probability. You are going to place your trust in someone or something. The question is always who or what?

Pastor Jamie George - The Bible is Truth on display for us, in its parables, its narrative, its wisdom, it prophesy, its poetry, it apocalyptic literature… and even throughout Christianity’s history and immaturity. The story of God is often a mirror. When you look into it what do you see?

Pastor Jamie George - What if rather than trying to mimic the specific instructions given to specific people in an ancient context, we were inspired by their struggles, challenges, solutions, and responses? What if we allowed that inspiration to permeate our being and shape the motives and longing of our hearts?

Pastor Jamie George - Is the Bible meant to be read literally? As one reads and follows a rulebook? And if so what do we do with the seeming inconsistencies of the Bible? What if the Bible’s purpose was not to function as a moral code but something far superior?

Pastor Jamie George - None of us reads the Bible without culture bias and prejudice. We have been shaped by our experiences and those experience affect the way we read the Bible. So let’s begin by entering into every conversation about the bible with a posture of humility.

Pastors Jamie George and Kevin Dixon - Pastor Jamie and Pastor Kevin take questions from our church family discussing the role of social sciences in the bible, how behaviors relate to grace, and how others shape our perception of God.

Pastor Kevin Dixon -

Pastor Jamie George and Tyler George - Pastor Jamie is co-teaching with Tyler George and they discuss the question, "How do I know if I am hearing the voice of God?"
