We long for good shepherds. When the shepherds of our culture fail us we are often left floundering. If unchecked we can be overwhelmed with a sense of helplessness and hopelessness. We will never find hope and we will never experience the goodness of the shepherd until we learn to recognize His voice.

Why do we do what we do? Do the motives of our hearts truly make a difference in our physical actions?  The answer is: YES!

(Message to Men) Rather than recognizing our sin as a selfish choice we prefer to see it as an understandable mistake. Self-justification kills relationships. Our efforts to be more loving will not produce healthy relationships. Forgiveness alone is the catalyst for growth and love.

Cynicism gives us an unwarranted sense of superiority. It is a false self and leads to isolation. Unbelief pulls us from connection and dulls the soul. We must counter the parries of the Evil Cynic by choosing a pathway to celebration.

Our obsession with control has filled us with pride. In our narcissism we have trouble seeing objectively. Often our allegiance is to whomever best reinforces our pre-occupation with self. We must be saved from ourselves.
