I absolutely loved chatting to Jules, not least because she and Cam had just announced their baby news on the weekend. Jules has had a fascinating career, moving to London in her early 20’s she spent time working at the Iconic Harrods as Head of Bridal Hair & Make-up (even doing Mrs Al-Fayed’s hair). Her next gig was as a ‘Master Barber’ at Royal warrant holding establishment and the oldest barbers in the world. Missing home, Jules came back to Sydney and ran a trendy blow dry bar… and then she applied for a show you may know, MAFS.
It was during the three months of filming, and spending her days and nights getting in and out of shaped underwear that the idea for her new business was born. Figur as Jules says “Is designed for confidence and comfort, with the goal of making women feel beautiful and confident in their clothes and in their everyday lives”
Jules shares her experience of putting everything she has into a start-up business, whilst in the midst of a lock down and while ‘growing a human’. She also shared who her and husband Cam’s Hall Passes are…
This was my first podcast interview post COVID-19 lock down. As someone who is ‘technically challenged’ at the best of times, after many failed attempts (and a few lawn mowers that halted recording) I felt like Eddie The Eagle at the Olympics when I finally nailed the set up! Hope you enjoy.
